21/5/2008 16:42 | This is the problem with illiquid stocks, you simple have to buy and hold for the long term.Sellers would probably appear around 30p.Any volume and no buyers and the price could half in an instant. | john henry
21/5/2008 14:03 | Out of interest has anyone been involved in a share like this before? Just wondered how it unfolded? Did the mm's try to make a market and rise the share price dramatically or did they just sit on their hands until a seller appeared? We could be 3 months from results (I personally feel 4-6 weeks) and if no other news is released someone could get bored and sell I guess. Are the mm's obliged to make an effort to attract sellers? | roommove
21/5/2008 13:44 | They can shake and shake but i aint selling. I dont think they will find any sellers of any quantity either as i doubt directors will sell and ALL other large holders are in at a higher share price Ive watched the share long enough and followed the trades and no major buys have come in below or around this level so I dont see any sellers yet. | roommove
21/5/2008 13:23 | If more pi's did want gant did then this would have to rocket plus its better to get 3500 at a premium than buy in tiny amounts like john said thats a waste of time n more to the point money!! | 39rich
21/5/2008 13:16 | They may try a tree shake to panic pi's into selling!! Just like they did yesterday afternoon | 39rich
21/5/2008 12:59 | I wonder why they don't just put the price up and see where the market lies. Surely that is the basis of making a market. If it means moving the price to £1 or £10 to find sellers but they have buyers at that level then so be it. I am of course just demonstrating my point with £10 rather than realistically expecting it before someone jumps on the point - but you get my drift there will be a price where people will sell and asl long as they've kept attracting buyers then everyone's happy. | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 12:56 | Waste of time and money buying in parcels of 100, share price has to go up 50% just to cover dealing costs. | john henry
21/5/2008 12:49 | Thanks for the info gant yr a gent!! | 39rich
21/5/2008 12:46 | online dealing switched off. Phone to get an order. | john henry
21/5/2008 12:25 | well there you go - have to pay 21 for the pleasure now. | mmelody
21/5/2008 12:25 | Very interesting - I have phoned to chase up my order and the brokers have phoned the market makers only to be told there is no stock available. I was able to get 3500 but only at 21p which I did. I have not come across a stock before where the market makers have run out so unless there is any selling then these must surely rocket as they seek to find a level at which they can tempt sellers. Naturally DYOR though. I'd be interested to see if anyone else can get stock. | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 11:00 | Makes sense now anyways goodluck!! | 39rich
21/5/2008 10:40 | I couldn't get them at 16.5p. As I say I can't even get them at 19p. I put a limit order on it as I have been caught out with negotiated trades before. With a negotiated trade they will seek to acquire at the best price available so technically they can just acquire them at any price and for all I know an MM may say I can only give you shares at 30p and as there would be no limit on it the broker says fine. For this reason I tend to go down the limit order route. I must have just missed the stock that was available for it would have been about 9am ish that I first tried to buy today with no joy. I assume therefore that there is no stock available up to a price of 19p unless someone sells. | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 10:34 | Why buy @19p wen you could av bought earlier @16.5p just curious | 39rich
21/5/2008 10:19 | 39rich To buy. Still not settled | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 09:55 | Trades going thro over the odds again :) | 39rich
21/5/2008 09:10 | Negotiated trades always work for me and can always buy or sell more than the limits | 39rich
21/5/2008 09:08 | Was that to buy or sell? | 39rich
21/5/2008 09:03 | I only ask as I could not an online quote at all and so put in a limit order for 2500 at 19p earlier this morning which is still sitting there Looking at level 2 I see that there is only Scap on the offer with a 500 limit and the next price is Land at 20.25p with a 500 limit as well so perhaps that is why. | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 08:59 | There was a 10k trade earlier @16.25 | 39rich
21/5/2008 08:56 | Out of interest can anyone advise as to the amount for which you can currently get an online quote to buy and at what price? Many thanks | gantenbrink
21/5/2008 08:51 | Here we go again:) | 39rich
21/5/2008 07:26 | Would be nice to see a steady flow of buys n see watt effect it has on the share price | 39rich
20/5/2008 18:58 | The more I read up on the company and loking at recent events the more I feel this could be the most exciting share ride ive had. Whatever happens its going to regularly move quickly one way or the other and could still double or half in a day. | roomove
20/5/2008 18:40 | 39rich, actually less than 10% I reckon. As I said yesterday I personally reckon less than 1million (possibly half that) shares are in general circulation. Ivor, I am guessing results this time next month. Interims were late December so 6 months on is next month. I have asked the company but only told no date has been fixed and they have until September. Personaly I think the results will be strong and they will want to get them out. As far as the liquidity goes I wonder if the acquisitions they mention they are chasing will be funded via new shares. If it happens and its a good deal I would see this as positive all round. | roomove |
