When he says own brand maybe it’s a white label with one of caths existing contacts?

For me it appears the company is trying to run before it can walk. Talk of an own brand just doesn't make sense IMHO. They should be focussing on getting cashflow positive from the existing and upcoming deals and then look to expand.

Will take my open offer shares too!

Plenty of cash now for obvious purposes and hopefully another global at the table.

SA is no mug and one has to have some trust.

Whenever sbtx is in demand you can’t buy for toffee so happy to have added at 17.5p broker said rsp was scarce on the offer side too he had to make calls to get me filled.

Hair was discussed in the cosmetic channel as one of the sub sectors.

Croda fully agreed to it in the contract. It brings additional exposure to the science and the brand which only Croda can supply. Makes tons of sense and was an excellent add on negotiation by SA.

SA made it very clear that there is no way on earth he would spend anything at all on marketing a cosmetic label. He did say that if a large retailer approached them and asked for a skinbiotix branded cream and they were prepared to do all of the sales and marketing he would consider it. I have no worries about big marketing campaigns at all. If in doubt ask him. He's always pretty straight shooting. IMO DYOR

My thoughts exactly
If I was Croda I wouldn’t be to happy
But then SOH has done the same at Opti

You're OK with 45% dilution at 4D thought. That was just 1 of the 4 dilutive placings and another due by H1. Did you think know body would notice your double standards, someuwin.

Director's intent to participate is welcome. The hair product initiative is a strange one and not on the strategic product staircase, I wonder if the company will now change its name to Integumentarytherapeutics>? Perhaps Elrico can find out why the company have decided to diversify at this pre-revenue generating stage when he nexts interviews Stuart.

Just my thoughts on the placing. Stuart has said previously he would do a fund raise to accelerate revenue or where a partner expects them to invest in an opportunity (or words to that effect) so on that basis I am ok with. However I do have strong reservations that some of the cash may go to launching an own brand cosmetic. Really? We have been lauding the deal with croda as it gives us access to its 12000 client among whom are some of the largest names in the world in that space. We are an ip technology company, let's ride on the coat tails of Clinique L'Oréal etc. How much will we need to spend on marketing to get close to even an average player in this space

Why buy now when you can get at 16p?

NIK - What I should have added is that the shares have fallen this morning despite a fairly convincing buy note from their house broker and there is only a penny discount to the current share price. Where it is so close me and many investors will leave it till the last possible moment to apply, if the shares fall to below 16p offer in the meantime you have your answer!

NIK you are quite right. ""Qualifying Shareholders may apply for Open Offer Shares under the Open Offer at the Issue Price on the following basis: 1 Open Offer Share for every 41 Existing Ordinary Shares"".
In any open offer you are guaranteed the minimum so for 100k shares you are guaranteed 2439, not a lot! If you consider the Company is sound however, this is only the guaranteed amount, you can apply for as few or as many as you like. There will always be shareholders who will not take up the offer for whatever reason; they have no cash for example or they do not want to invest any more in one Company. This gives the believers a chance to top up at a discount. If every holder takes up the offer you still get the minimum but if not you will get more scaled back according to how many others think the same. You can in theory apply for 1m shares if you want to!

jansky61

Or you can just wait for the share price to fall to 16p and buy as many as you like. That said, I will buy as many shares as Stuart and the other directors purchase

To explore the use of the SkinBiotix(R) technology in areas such as, oral and hair indications. Work has already been initiated in these areas but a greater commitment of resource is required to make material progress.

-- To expand the Company's research and development capability through the establishment of its own lab facilities and extending the resource capability at the University of Manchester, where it has a long standing research agreement.

Bit late in the day to establish their own lab facilities? All been uni based so far?

And all those shares coming back into the market? Oh dear!

Two weeks ago this was 20p a share. Not that long before it was 27p. Another company I am invested in recently announced a fundraise at a small discount and smaller level of dilution. The result is an share price still above the fund raise price. I'm going to be watching with interest to see how the market digests our raise.
Anyway, grumble over for now.

Unless you have absolutely loads of shares the amount the pi is guaranteed to get in the offer is quite minimal. Or have I got it wrong? 100k shares equals just shy of 2500 shares
