19/2/2003 07:59 | Hugh Osmond set to bid for Six Continents... | wedged
11/2/2003 20:59 | Back to "Mitchells & Butlers" - a previously owned name & much cheaper than the usual marketeers re-name process - seems to signify an acceptance that the sharks have tasted blood & are now well & truly circling. Theres going to be a flurry of activity at de-merger & we should get a nice ride up for the share price. | jpdm
22/12/2002 10:56 | The Pensions Top up will apparently cost £60 million All down to the demerger. | ariane
11/12/2002 16:55 | JIMBOSTOCK - 09 Dec'02 - 07:39 - 24 of 24 Thanks for your account, which if true (and I have no reason to doubt it) provides an insight into the shares poor performance. | marquis
09/12/2002 07:39 | L2E well i can another reason the are doing poorley, they have one of their pubs in stok-on-trent which they took over and this is what they did they stopped all pub games they stopped thefootbal teams they stopped the cricket team and the golf team they tuned it into mainley food only and got rid of 200 customers and a turn over of 18,000 pounds a week and net profit of 8,000 a week , then they spent 50,000 on a extenion and 100,000 on refirb now they turn over 12,000 a week and a profit of 5,000 where as they could have keeped both and made between 10,000 to 13,000 per week , why invest money in idots like these people who do not have a clue how to run a bussiness or enlarge your investment | jimbostock

06/12/2002 00:47 | rich ... BP, didn't see your post, but, yes .. sort off Closed s/b longs at 423. I think it looks strong on a weekly / monthly basis, so still holding shares. And will repurch s/b long if it pulls back. Where I find it difficult, is if it starts up again, do I repurch higher than 423, or just freeze. I wonder if my new found interest in charts might help me ! D. PS. and as I post, up it goes ! | dieng

06/12/2002 00:46 | barc has had two solid attempts @ 426 break it on the third attempt and the next stop should be around the 432 mark... This would put it back in at the lower end of its previous trading range.. | lift and shift
