Sherlock,

That's interesting with SRSP's links to some of these deep pockets, REYL etc and perhaps Barak too (we'll see later this month) you never know what regional non-core stuff they may pick up from the big fellas.

Regards,
Ed.

‘We expect Nigeria to dominate Sub-Saharan Africa M&A on the back of 20-year onshore licence renewals that are in progress for the Shell joint venture. Shell (30%), Total (10%) and Eni (5%) are likely to sell their combined interests in a handful of non-core mature oil blocks, which could include OMLs 11, 17, 20, 22 and 25, among others. There is potential for CHEVRON TO TRIM ITS SHALLOW-WATER PORTFOLIO...’

Sorry forgot to add that a question right at the end was asked about dilution and the finance director

categorically said that this would not be necessary based on the funding arrangement with REYL and offtake agreement with BP.

When will the GM be held to confirm tranche funding and what else will be lined up for approval?

Hard to say Deadly, but infield triggered an update today, tug movement today, shelf and funder continue to say this month. A sizeable draw down has to be for something short term. Maybe it's what we have been waiting for.

You get the feeling pipe that the fundraising was for the rig, the initial amount drawn down would surely be a rough amount needed to cover rig costs. Should start to get exciting from now on once the rig starts moving

Funding later this month. Rig ready to move this month. Cash flows within 45 days. Big name partners. Assets coming out of all holes.Nigeria is ours.

Yes still big opportunity here if we can bag these assets.

We’ve had our fair share of tough days but it’s always worth going back to the 2005 Wood MacKenzie map (or the 2018 version if you can get your hands on it) to gain a perspective of the immense opportunity here. Look at shallow offshore from OPL 227/OML 97 westwards and consider:

1) are there likely to be other potentially very sizeable fields outside of the main, well established Chevron blocks just waiting to be developed?
2) with the IOCs increasingly pressured to relinquish shallow water in favour of deeper areas, who will be in prime position to take them on and meaningfully develop them?
3) overall, who else is bullishly looking to acquire sizeable assets in these areas and lining up the appropriate operational & financial resources to meaningfully develop them?

The scale of the opportunity is very clear. Whilst today’s funding news was unexpected and the dilution unwelcome, if it’s ultimately critical in the short term to help progress our growth strategy (as the RNS infers), then it won’t be too long before we see further assets and significant value. The scope of potential fields/blocks will ultimately outweigh everything else.

The boards inability to keep to a timescale or conclude anything it states in a rns is the reason for this latest funding at low levels! Dilution, deadline, missed deadline, missed deadline, missed deadline, dilution etc etc! That's has been the case for years here! Get a bloody move on bobo and co and actually achieve shareholder value here! Get that rig on site!

Cantor say 1p on production? Nice.

Does it include OML109? Or is that just Ororo?

Barak CEO - Later this month

Shelf - This month.

Ignore the buyback traders.
