I find it unbelievable that information we've been waiting for emerges through a third party source. If 'hazy's' article is genuine and they are drilling at Ororo...the company have gone to an extremely lot trouble to suppress this info....The question to be asked of course is the motive behind the secrecy.....were they going to release this info with the AD so as to maximise impact on return to market?

Herma-m.... Under Schedule 2, the new AD requires the following..


• Research and Development , Patents and Licences (Section 11);

I doubt the LSE will accept farm ins to the following licences...'Block 1', 'Block 2' ,'The field'...etc, etc, as qualifying assets.

Still, according to Dr R we could be getting a 300 page block-buster or a slightly thinner version, either way the time taken to date seems entirely reasonable and expected.

Still ready-stacked according to Infield, under contract to SRSP....or en-route to W.Africa, according to Rigzone.

Who knows, perhaps it really will be underway soon....

Would like to think the time spent to date possibly indicates they have more to write up than just Ororo.Opening up on the full story should give them more options going forwards, although I will still be happy if it is just Ororo, least for the time being.

Dr Rosso, why do you think the forthcoming AD will be restricted to Ororo?

Didn't somebody else report that at the last AGM in conversation with one of the BOD they indicated that all pipeline of assets would be disclosed in the AD?

I have a vague recollection from the last AGM that Bobo said AD doc would be required (legally) to reveal all.

I could be wrong (over active imagination), maybe another attendee can verify this.

Sounds as if forthcoming AD joa revelations are going to be restricted to the Ororo field for the time being. Drill to prove up the substantial 2P reserves, then the field acts as collateral for much greater RBL to open up the Blocks which Schlum/BP are undoubtedly in for.

LONDON--Sirius Petroleum PLC (SRSP.LN) said Monday it has entered into a milestone contract for the provision of an integrated services management contract with oilfield services company Schlumberger. The investing company focused on oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Nigeria, said the contract is for a multi-well campaign, which will commence in the first half of 2017.

"Sirius Petroleum, an investment company focused on oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Nigeria, awarded Schlumberger a multiwell contract for ISM operations in the Ororo field. The contract, which will begin later in 2017, includes directional drilling services, logging, completion and production fluids, cementing and pumping services, well intervention and stimulation products and services, well testing services, wellsite communications, data and software solutions as well as Cameron wellheads and production trees."

my opinion only.....candidate application will be made after Ororo hydrocarbon production rates have been established..

The BoD have, in my view, been very coy with the wording of the Schlumberger rns.....it seems that we have neither signed an 'SPM' or an 'IPM'....but something in between. The SPM indicates that they're in for the long haul as opposed to a quick 'in and out'.....'The contract envisages...'.more than just Ororo.
