Many might just do better by waiting for the cash from Anglo. If the current virus problems continue to get worse there should be some bargains about by then, and you have a guaranteed payment from AAL.

no reason not to sell. You could make the opportunity cost waiting for the additional 0.02p (0.36%) intraday on your next investment

(...and it you wanted to retain some potash exposure, EML are very well placed and could eclipse SXX's high and generate a 10-15x return over the next 12-18 months)

No idea where I got the 10% from - was seeing the sell as 4.85p d'uh!

Might as well sell then, I guess.

"So what now?" someone asked on LSE this morning.

Extract of a letter I received from Interactive Investor on 25th Feb:


Expected Effective date: 31st March 2020
Terms: GBP0.055 for each share held
Expected pay date: 14th April 2020

Sirius Minerals plc has announced a Scheme of Arrangement with Anglo American plc, subject to court and shareholder approval at the meetings to be held on 3rd March 2020. If approved, the effective date is expected to be 31st March 2020.

Under the terms of the Scheme, holders will be issued with GBP0.055 in cash in exchange for each Sirius Minerals plc share held.

Cash will be issued to entitled shareholders upon receipt from the company. This may take up to 10 working days from the official expected pay date, expected to be 14th April 2020.


So just hold your horses folks - or sell now and lose a further 10+%, I guess.
