Probably be a limited 'open offer' for existing shareholders to buy a few quids worth at the placing price. So every cloud....

The high cost of financing from the capital markets will make this project unviable. They are running out of options. The placing price will be at giveaway price if they can get any investors interested. They have tried to pump the share price on several occasions but failed to rope in the mug punters to sustain the momentum. Really doesn’t look good. Walking through a mine field here.

I'll take a guess at 200m placing before the end of May at 10p to 15p along with some extremely good sounding news. GL

He has already got out of it...….he has JPM.

The problem is that they want a too much from the deal...and CF is stalling.....but will have to give it to them in the end.

You need to go and do some research on "loans for equity".

I feel they were expecting more from this recent good news. It seems the mugs who are going to pay for stage 2, are not so muggish anymore. Going to be very interesting to see how CF Gets out of this corner.

85,000 shareholders and 25% of these are based in the north east. Probably explains the ease of the unloading imv

Not wanting to get involved with the bickering here, but just to observe that for several weeks there has been pretty regular end-of-day buying edging the price up in the last hour.

My interpretation is that someone is accumulating - which obviously has to be true if big funds are unloading and the price isn't collapsing.

For clarity, I am trading this rather than investing at present.

Jupiter & capital et all will be clambering to Buy back all they’ve sold & more , soon as the financing which is most likely in place NOW is made public ;-) can you imagine where the share price will be then

Yes, we know. It's not a secret. One is called Jupiter and the other Capital. They currently hold around 300m shares between them and they have been steadily reducing their holdings for months now.

What they need is a partner to share the capital and risk of developing the mine. A multi billion $ mining project breaking ground before securing the full financing has never been done before this project. To make matters worse they can’t get project financing at vanilla loan rates. Financial institutions earn their dosh by transferring risk to the market using structured products. But investors have wised up to these since the subprime scams of the GFC.
