07/8/2018 14:49 | NMRN - yeah true! (was true at the time though and had been out a good few hours by then - so maybe a few readers from here decided to short?!) | jiggle

07/8/2018 14:46 | Well, I imagine at some time 11% Mitty went short at 39.7, and of course knew the pullback would happen! | stoaty1
07/8/2018 14:37 | In my opinion, the ft article is a hatchet job. The motive for writing it is unclear. There are little snide remarks such as "Polyhalite occurs naturally, hence the organic label. Less solubility than other fertilisers is be spun as a slow release quality, provided there is enough water to do the releasing." - stupid remark - There will always be enough water, unless you are farming a desert. Also - "to turn a collection of salts ignored for centuries into a fertiliser used worldwide". - not ignored at all let alone centuries - only discovered 50 or so years ago. "Optimistic claims for an untested product" does not stand up at all given the huge amount of crop trials that have and still are being undertaken and which support the claims to be superior to MOP especially in chloride sensitive crops. Even here there is snidery - "chloride sensitive crops such as tobacco" - I don't recall seeing tobacco included in any of Sirius' field trials or ever mentioned in their presentations, only food crops. Again, it refers to the "niche fertiliser market" being small and demand for polyhalite modest - The whole point is that this is a new product - this is akin to those folks who foresaw a market for maybe a handful of computers around the world. I could go on and on - but it would be more productive to try and find out who is behind the article. | pvpower
07/8/2018 14:21 | Jiggle, "and not affecting the share price much" -------------------- Famous last words! NMRN | not my real name
07/8/2018 12:58 | Jiggle. Thanks for that link. Interesting to read a rather negative, downbeat assessment though on the surface well researched article on the project, in terms of: - raising the finance in accordance with the company's plans - actually developing the mine within budget - the prospective market size and reach as well as a myriad of other issues. The post-article comments are also illuminating about the author's profile which raise queries about his objectivity and the input into the article from the Israeli competitor currently producing. Much of the article's material is too technical for me, so interested to see how other people interpret it. | grahamburn
07/8/2018 12:55 | Jiggle Someone hasn't read the script. CF needs to pull another RNS out now. At this stage, all things are going as well as could be but plenty of fundamental matters hang in the balance. | mr.oz
07/8/2018 12:02 | Wow that's one of the most relevant and in-depth analysis of the current position Ive read anywhere and puts into perspective all the points of this entire episode. Good find! | ialwayswinatmonopoly
07/8/2018 11:37 | Morning PP "The remaining bonds become callable if the underlying shares become worth more than $350k before 18th December of this year" Not quite yet for the looming 'Sword of Damocles' to be positioned to swipe their heads off. Do note that the call period trigger has a start date of not more than 5 weeks before 19/12 as well as a price threshold. So CB holders still have time to bask in this indian summer, but only until the first severe frosts arrive..... to decisively kill off all the lush growth. Would be a shame eh!! :-)) L. | lenses
07/8/2018 11:10 | Not very positive, nor that negative - and not affecting the share price much. | jiggle

07/8/2018 01:58 | Thanks PPVN. I knew it had something to do with the USD so that 38.5p was when Cable was up a bit higher. | aspex
07/8/2018 00:39 | I will go for 0.75 to 0.8 for tomorrow. | 11_percent
07/8/2018 00:39 | And CF has to convert his options in Sept.... | 11_percent
06/8/2018 22:51 | Hi Aspex, The remaining bonds become callable if the underlying shares become worth more than $350k before 18th December of this year, which equates to $0.5383 per share (£0.4159 at current fx of 1.2943) for 20 days. So a bit to go yet. We've also been discussing more recently the possibility that sufficient buying pressure will emerge to allow CB holders to dispose of their remaining shares despite this upper "cap" - a situation that becomes increasingly likely the more TorPs are signed, or stage 2 news, or a buyer of size etc. Either way, it's been reassuring to see such strength and increasing volume in the share of late, fingers crossed and a bit of luck we may manage to burst through the "cap" without too much issue. Little way to go yet. | ppvn
06/8/2018 22:28 | I am sure I read here that a price of 38.5p enables the company to call up interest bearers.Perhaps one for PPVN? | aspex
06/8/2018 21:22 | RSI has been well over 80 so could be more buying this week, watch for trigger sell point | beeezzz
06/8/2018 17:53 | hxxps://www.gazettel Quote "The company has several contracts to supply its product, POLY4, for a combined total of 55 YEARS to companies across the globe, with options to extend those agreements by a further 42 years" "Ed Brown, of A Daniel J Edelman Compay, said Sirius Minerals was currently in talks over further off-take agreements with companies in Europe and Brazil, but the company was “close to the mark” for signing off its stage two financing" I think PI's and the institutions are just waking up and smelling the coffee of this cashcow | prmoldoaks
06/8/2018 16:42 | Arguably a breakaway gap - time will tell. | skinny
06/8/2018 16:35 | That was ok.........up 1.22p / 3.26%. | 11_percent
06/8/2018 14:47 | Hi NMRN, Let me set the scene.... Stg 2 non dilutive... Demand for sulphate based fertilizer goes parabolic.... 20mt... Takeover bids galore... But a few more shorts and a rising price is nice too! Haha | ppvn
06/8/2018 14:47 | If a tad over bought! "When RSI moves above 70, it is overbought and could lead to a downward move. When RSI moves below 30, it is oversold and could lead to an upward move." | skinny |
