Hopefully, as there’s nothing like London sitting above the Sirius tunnel and nothing to weave around like London’s sewers and numerous other tunnels, this project should be relatively easy.

Having watched the £5 billon London sewer programme, which is shorter than the one Sirius plan, you take away a better impression of the enormity of the physical tasks ahead. Even after 2nd stage funding.

True enough! But usual form with CBs would be to overshoot the upper limit when it won't matter if some residual shares are left to sell. That way, even if bonds are called they can just convert and sell at their leisure, say for example if some news that'll bump volume is expected...

Hi NMRN, it's a little less than 700mm. I've been a little puzzled recently by the seeming lack of movement in our reported shorts as there have been quite a few sales but little change in %age short.

I personally believe the number to be somewhat closer to 450mm, this suspicion was backed by the recent blocklisting.

Still a lot, but we are getting there!

(450mm based on most recent number of bonds being 1,221 * 650,195 less current shorts less aftermarket trades since drop from 7% short declared from previous conversions)

If it crosses 35p we have CB holders waiting to short 700+ million shares so it really doesn't make much difference at the moment.

You may well be right but I think Plan A is to go down the well documented route of TorPs, Bank Commitment, Government guarantee. 100% non-dilutive debt.

The newest fly in the ointment that I see is that they have already told us they are targeting China, Brazil and Europe. China has come through so we now have all our hopes on Brazil. I cannot see any European partner signing up to a 7 or 10 year deal knowing that we could leave the EU without a deal in 9 months time and a whacking great tariff could be put on the agreed price.

Come on Brazil!

NMRN - I second what you have said re MS.

Moreover, I agree with MS earlier suggestion that the STG2 funding may be at least partly raised through a 2 or 3 for one placing at a small or zero discount. However, I would suggest that such a placing needs to be in minimum lot sizes of £100K to ensure that the bulk of the take up is by institutions (as per CF's goal for much greater institutional holdings) and only those PIs prepared to put up some serious capital which they don't need to withdraw 5 minutes later.

I would personally like to thank you for all your contributions on this board. I haven't agreed with some of them but you have ALWAYS provided a level of insight which is way beyond my personal experience.

I would have thought that the mine management are have a good laugh at the posters on this BB................they are the only one who know just what the position is.

And LENSES who remarked "My opinion? I don't think Sirius BoD would have persisted this long and this late in the day with this carefully choreographed timetable re St2 (inc CB clear up) if they had any inkling it was likely to fail."

We shareholders will all have to wait and then we can express our opinions.......but as the City and the big institutions who will own the business PI will be taking a back seat..............that's the way it works and don't get upset in this hot weather!!
