20/7/2018 12:55 | We also should under play the political capital the conservative government could get by underwriting the "capital"! Helping jobs in the north, trade etc. | stoaty1

20/7/2018 12:40 | Can you please add to the debate the effect that future SXX sales will have on the UK Balance of Payments please........... Thanks | anley
20/7/2018 12:38 | MuckShiffter........ I sit besides a City banker so I know how these deals are done and one I draw your attention to is Versarien plc (VRS) who has the head of inward investment (DIT) seconded to the company for a year or more. What and where the government can be involved is opening doors to over 120 overseas trade office throughout the world. Think about that for one monent as the UK has one of the biggest world wide net works....bigger than France. It is from this position that SXX can get its product and back-up services introduced to those countries that need the SXX product. Also consider the banks and their underwriting capacity world wide and the institutions and pension funds who may want to buy in...........its a very big market and you may not have thought about it this way. Well we all look forward to your comments and no doubt you will create sensible debate. | anley
20/7/2018 12:36 | LOAD OF RUBBISH! Nobody knows yet, what the form for the financing will be, but likely to be a good and positive outcome I think, as this product is sought after ....clearly as RNS proves. | hazl
20/7/2018 12:28 | Yes......the loans are a dead duck....and its going to be a very big rights issue. Where I differ, slightly, from muckshifter, is that the rights issue will be at a discount....to get it away. | 11_percent
20/7/2018 12:26 | Post of the month...... ==================== muckshifter 20 Jul '18 - 10:02 - 33023 of 33039 0 0 1 Personally, I don't think they will get the bank finance or the government guarantee for the finance, for various reasons which have nothing to do with the TorP sales agreements. My bet is on an underwritten very big rights issue without a huge price discount, which would keep them going and wouldn't really damage you shareholders much if you took up your rights. Followed by another convertible issue as requirements become clearer. If all was going well with the construction this convertible issue could be delayed until it became absolutely necessary, thereby reducing the coupon payments and minimising the dilution because the share price for conversion would reflect the success of the construction work. If all was not going well - another probably very dilutive placing. | 11_percent

20/7/2018 11:29 | Does doubly diametric then mean that one is up one's own a*se? Sorry..too much time on my hands! | 81lucky
20/7/2018 11:10 | I believe it means doubly perpendicular to be more accurate! :) NMRN | not my real name
20/7/2018 11:02 | That's most perpendicular! | ialwayswinatmonopoly
20/7/2018 10:58 | Hi monopoly, Diametric I said. :) NMRN | not my real name
20/7/2018 10:35 | Diametric you say | ialwayswinatmonopoly
20/7/2018 10:35 | Some interesting posts this morning. The reason of course there wasn't so much, price action, this morning in my opinion was that the traders were clearly all out and caught by surprise with the RNS. 2DUKE is correct I think the IK is clearly in need of flagships but as muckshifter says we do not know yet what form the stage two financing will take. I remain optimistic myself. | hazl
20/7/2018 10:32 | prmoldoaks, It has strong resistance at 35p, there are not many trade-able shares in main circulation as most are on a "HOLD" with institutions. -------------------- The are 4.7 BILLION shares in circulation at the moment and one of Sirius' weaknesses, which Jez Staley has been asked to address, is a lack of institutional shareholders. Not sure where you got your info but it is sadly the diametric opposite to the real situation. NMRN | not my real name

20/7/2018 10:17 | OK graham, have to go out very shortly, so if you want to know my reasoning I will explain when I return. PS. What I'm suggesting as the likely outcome would, if construction and commissioning went well, mean earlier and better dividends for holders. | muckshifter
20/7/2018 10:14 | muckshifter. It would be helpful if you could support your statement "for various reasons which have nothing to do with the TorP sales agreements", with reasoned arguments otherwise the rest of your post (bet) is meaningless. Thanks in advance. | grahamburn
20/7/2018 10:14 | He can't.. he is a employed TROLL!! | carla1
