30/3/2016 18:11 | Can anyone explain why they are in this "offer period". Does it stop hostile bids, restrain Tosca forcing the issue or what? I've never come across this situation before, or certainly not for this length of time. How long can it go on for? Any comments welcome. | eggbaconandbubble
30/3/2016 12:13 | Killik building a position (for clients?) too.... | soundbuy
30/3/2016 12:08 | Equity Development $SPH Sinclair Pharma now 16 months into LSE "Offer Period", tho' clock effectively restarted in Dec '15 with Sale of non-Aesthetics business Agreed - a different business with disposal and cash raised, reckon they're only 3 months max into talks re Aesthetics business, they inferred as much at disposal that they'd concentrated first on the non-Aesthetics side (if I remember correctly), leaves a clearer picture going fwd....will take a while (hence why no comment re advanced talks etc).... One-off payment of EUR15.0 million in cash excellent too.... | soundbuy
30/3/2016 11:19 | Figures look ok and the third qtr is now as good as completed,so the improved sales performance is in the bag.Are we awaiting a takeover approach or an acquisition.I'm a bit puzzled.Hey ho.Chris Spooner, CEO, commented "Our decision to focus the business entirely on aesthetics has allowed us to build solid foundations to support future growth. We have built an exciting portfolio of high growth, differentiated products that address patient and physician demand for better, long-lasting natural results. The imminent US launch of Silhouette InstaLift(TM) will expose Sinclair to the world's largest aesthetics market and is expected to be transformational for both revenue and earnings growth. Underlying end-user sales growth remains strong, and as previously guided we have de-stocked our distribution channel reducing reported sales for the first half. The de-stocking process is largely complete and sales for the third quarter are expected to exceed first half sales. Our expectations for calendar 2016 and beyond remain unchanged and we are highly confident in the immediate and longer term outlook". | steeplejack
29/3/2016 15:48 | After 12 noon today two separate purchases totalling 300,000 shares worth over £100,000. These high value transactions are very welcome. | scargs
29/3/2016 15:36 | Interim results up to 31/12/2015 out tomorrow. Looking forward to reading them etc. Hopefully an update re the company's current prospects. | scargs
29/3/2016 15:18 | soundbuy, I'm only guessing here as no one knows what the future will look like. Nonetheless, I like very much the fact that the company has clearly stated in its accounts that they are focusing on the higher quality growth business and evaluating interest from third parties in this offer period and therefore worst case we are left with no debt and the growth business and plenty of cash in the bank. Furthermore they state: 'The Board will continue its assessment on how to maximize shareholder value and continues to receive attention with regards to the remaining aesthetics business from a number of international companies, many of which are interested in some form of co-operation, including co-promotion, licensing of products, repatriation of distribution agreements, development collaborations and merger and acquisition opportunities'. | shareinvestment
29/3/2016 09:44 | @shareinvestment That's a cunning plan..... | soundbuy
27/3/2016 09:40 | shareinvestment, are you suggesting that because of pressure by institutional shareholders they might sell everything in the near future and return all the proceeds to shareholders. Say, at a price totalling approx.60p as suggested by steeplejack? | eggbaconandbubble
25/3/2016 14:08 | Very true.Tosca has a history of putting companies "into play".Yet the stockmarket is a strange animal nowadays.in the absence of prop book speculation(all but outlawed by regulation) thinly traded but tightly held stocks like SPH can move up and down for no meaningful reason.I suspect the stock could well be worth 60p plus to industry peers but the stockmarket valuation is happy to ignore as much. | steeplejack |
