08/4/2025 09:17:42 | First meeting of the new AI Energy Council today. Will no doubt be discussing the need for ready to go sites. Well how about Uskmouth then | robertspc1
30/3/2025 11:25:22 | Interesting article about Microsoft and data centres in Sunday Telegraph warning about grid connections etc. Apparently they have planning for a site in Newport... well maybe they should look at Uskmouth instead | robertspc1
27/3/2025 08:13:31 | Expect news on multiple fronts in the next few months. Hopefully Uskmouth AW1 will reach financial close, with much better revenues now flowing in BESS sector, and renewed investor interest as per HEIT sale. Meygen restructuring in progress, hopefully GBE will put in some new equity and existing debt holders convert to equity. That would remove perceived debt burden. Both events should significantly boost the shares IMHO | robertspc1
25/3/2025 11:02:26 | Added two large chunks showing as sells | robertspc1
25/3/2025 07:40:51 | Drax bid for HEIT demonstrates that the UK BESS sector is recovering and the silly discounts will not last long. Good news for SAE as should improve the bankability of their projects | robertspc1
23/3/2025 22:11:20 | The UK has surged ahead in the race to harness power from the oceans, with its tidal energy sector now dominating global project pipelines. htTps://www.energyglobal.com/other-renewables/19032025/eic-report-uk-emerges-as-global-leader-in-wave-and-tidal-energy/ | wheeze

As previously discussed, 16p is simply a fantasy number:

"In case you missed it JakNife, the United Kingdom is the world leader in tidal energy, largely thanks to Simec. There is plenty of interest in the technology.
MeyGen has already delivered over 50Gwh of clean energy"
And?
None of that changes what I've written in 3603:
All of the previous investment has been wasted. It hasn't provided an adequate return on investment and hasn't generated any material levels of cash.
There is no case for "investment" in Uskmouth, it's a charity case!

"It's time Britain started investing in Britain - our Pension funds are supporting investment in AI in the United States. Let's see some investment in Uskmouth."

18/3/2025 08:05:58 | They are trying hard on the PR front at Uskmouth. Data centre investment would be great but I guess a bit speculative at the moment. In any event, Uskmouth is increasing in value as the UK BESS market is recovering strongly and HEIT has attracted multiple bidders | robertspc1

16/3/2025 09:09:05 | Proteus get a seat at Ocean Energy EuropeThe company is involved in several key projects, including offshore services for Scotland's 6MW MeyGen tidal array. PMR recently signed an MoU with SKF and GE Vernova to supply an additional 5 9MW to MeyGen PLC, bringing the site's capacity to at least 65 MW this decade.htTps://www.offshore-energy.biz/proteus-marine-renewables-joins-ocean-energy-europe-board/ | wheeze
14/3/2025 17:22:29 | Just wait until Meygen gets restructured and the debt burden gets cleared | robertspc1
14/3/2025 10:42:53 | This should help first close on the AW1 project which would demonstrate SAE capability to deliver its own projects | robertspc1
14/3/2025 08:36:01 | SAE is pleased to announce it has secured a 15-year contract to provide vital, reliable electricity for the National Grid in the latest T-4 Capacity Market Auction Round (the "Auction") through its 120MW AW1 Battery Storage project (the "Project"). SAE will be paid £60/kW/year for the duration of the contract.
The Capacity Market ensures the security of electricity supply by providing a payment for reliable sources of capacity.
Success at the Auction provides an additional and fixed revenue stream for the Project and is an important component as SAE works towards financial close of its flagship AW1 Battery Project at the Uskmouth Sustainable Energy Park ("USEP").
SAE recently released a video animation highlighting the scale and benefits of the USEP site. This can be viewed here
The results are subject to confirmation by the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, which is due by the 24th March.
