Onwards and upwards (again). Great while it lasts and long may it continue.

Well I did wonder if possibly someone was buying on the expectation of good news from the Quark phase 3 results, but they seem if anything rather delayed - the old SLN management seemed to be indicating fairly early in 1Q for results, iirc. And there seems to be very little happening on the Quark "News" site. Has anyone seen anything recently about when results of the study might be released?

Poss reasons for rise 1.good New management team, ,2 Quirk results soon on lead product (SLN will receive royalty if successful ,and it's products verified) 3 AS Ft article said Sunday ,similar company in USA valued at .1.6 billion ! Sln mk cap 50million ( not the 100m shown on ADVFN ?)

This spike is wonderful to see but as inexplicable (to me) as most of the crash that preceded it, with the exception of a bit of deserved punishment for (1) apparently caving on the patent dispute and (2) the musical chairs in the C-Suite. Anyone got a convincing reason for the move up other than 1 or more buyers deciding to accumulate a bit on the back of the new management team and a feeling that it was oversold?

Not sure what's up, saw Ian Ross is back so that's good news in my book. I've been holding since he took over in 2005. I only cast a glance every now and then to see if I've cracked it yet (I'll be to old soon to enjoy it if it ever blows) GLA and hi to all my old sparring partners who stayed in. ?

No mention of the patent nonsense in the ft article. I wonder what actually happened for the management to simultaneously bail & the new lot to make almost no reference to patent disputes - except to fold.Perhaps they'd already filled their boots with arrowhead and no longer cared about sln .....

lol. My 1st post here was 2009. Been in and out and currently out. Years of chasing a price down has rarely led anyone to riches.

PS key part being " He (Dr David Horn Solomon, chief executive ) evidently hopes to emulate the clinical success of Arrowhead, which signed a deal late last year with Johnson & Johnson to develop and market its hepatitis B treatment. J&J also took a stake in Arrowhead and has agreed to collaborate on other drugs. Sadly, Silence sold its stake a year before at an average of $3.6 a share. Arrowhead’s shares have risen sixfold to $18-plus since the start of 2018 and are now worth more than $1.7bn. Thats for the long term

Still , the article is only stating the obvious , yes it has changed its management , yes it does burn money , yes it is still in early development , and yes bears ....in the woods lol bio stocks are brought for the long term, not just the weekend.

Good press for givosiran, alnylam and gene silencing in general. Shame sln didn't do better in the patent dispute. htTps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-47907971

I live a solitary life here. No companions to share daily tribulations. I’m happy though building my wee position up. When the boat comes I’ll be the richest castaway they’ve ever seen. Ha ha. Now to find some water and some kindling for the fire...
