6 monthly check in and some sense of a mini recovery going on by the looks of it?

Seems like a good news campaign right now and that always raises the eyebrows and then good old SRP, it'll all die down again if the trends of the decade and a half are anything to go by?

Still looks a bit better for the balance sheet and well done WL for getting back in under 100p. Would personally need some wild numbers for a break even, but to be fair I metaphorically wrote it all off a few years back, so whatever I eventually pick up will be a fools bonus, but 250p or better would be very welcome none the less.

Certainly seems like there's some good momentum here. Some interesting business rns's over the last few days plus a big shareholder increasing further.

Arrowhead results on Thursday and then Ali speaking in Boston at the Canaccord conference next week could both provide further impetus.

Well I bought back in recently, and nothing to do with Quark, but the fact the share price had dropped below £1.00 and the CEO comments re IP value and twitter chatter in the US about SLN and both Arrow and Alnylam. I suspect others did the same for similar reasons. Quark is one of their longer running (and at times somewhat fraught) relationships, as I recall.

Difficult to say callumross. There could have been a leak from Quark (which is privately held) with someone realising the potential implications for Silence.

I have no idea how valuable the Quark news is in terms of p/share on the Silence shareprice, so I don't know if it merits a few p (in which case perhaps that just accounts for the move today after the announcement) or a few 10's of p in which case perhaps it accounts also for some of the move earlier in the week.

Not related to the Quark news 1gw as the publication of this information was outwith the control of SLN - just a realisation of the potential value of the IP by the market which todays Quark news has only underlined.

I don't know gersemi. Is the run-up before today due to news of the Quark progress leaking - pretty scandalous if so - or was it due to something else - maybe consideration of Ali's comments on the potential value of the patents?

I'm hoping that at the US presentation on 10th August the company will major on the potential value of the patents in the US context, which may attract a few new US investors in.

Arrowhead took off yesterday after the UK market closed, so that wasn't the cause of Silence's rise, although the rises may have had a common cause. I couldn't see an obvious cause for arwr' s rise although I did see some speculation that Amgen might be thinking about M&A ( in general, not specifically arwr or sln) and maybe that contributed.
