I'm not sure I agree @eentweedrie, Sigmaroc's higher exceptionals were very largely non-cash and its value per share is on par with that of its main competitor Breedon, not to mention the fact that past acquisitions have been extremely positive for shareholder value. Whatever caused this little dip it can hardly last long.

Sigmaroc seems to be making great strides once again, CEO Max Vermorken announcing another acquisition, a high-value quarry in Belgium, not to mention Jacques Emsens joining the board as a non-executive director. This si important news indeed, as Emsens is a member of one of Belgium's wealthiest industrial dynasties, mainly known for their owning the huge multi-national SCR-Sibelco.

Exciting prospects indeed and I'm sure much more is to follow!

Agreed mfhmfh, this opens up other areas of business and potential growth. Seems to be a very good deal and surprised they got it on the terms they did.

I like that they are absorbing / aquhiring a great BoD as they go - if it were a high tech company, or advertising - more people would be wetting themselves...

This was a significant acquisition IMO:

SigmaRoc has the exclusive right to purchase the remaining 60 per cent. of GDH for a cash consideration of £7.5m on or before 31 August 2020.

Indeed, the key, I think, will be using debt to make acquisitions, and then paying down the debt with free cash flow, avoiding dilution...

I think we will soon be seeing this heading towards 75p if not more. The management has purchased such strong performers, and as a group have everything to pave the way to continue to build on the great foundation.

650k @ 44p = £286,000 director purchases.

They certainly must be confident.
