07/9/2020 18:25 | My research shows that Shoe should have had a great August, and also good back to school sales.I was expecting a trading update, as they issued one last year, but looks like its not coming. | boonkoh
07/9/2020 17:59 | Good news that Primark are enjoying better than expected sales. Would very happily take only 10% down on previous year!! | thecroots
07/9/2020 10:39 | Relevant? Sales at Primark bounced back in the fourth quarter and beat expectations, as shoppers flocked back to its stores post-lockdown to buy larger baskets of clothes. | edmundshaw
06/9/2020 18:57 | I think -5% or -10% is a bit optimistic. I do think though their digital platform will have shined though.. | thecroots
02/9/2020 16:38 | Thecroots,It will be interesting to see in their next update how they are trading. From what I can see, non-prime retail, which are those outside major city centres and marquee shopping malls, have seen good return of footfall. Shoe are mainly in non-prime retail locations as well as on retail parks, so hoping they've recovered to just -5% or -10% of sales YoY.Also a relief that schools have restarted, as back to school shoes is a key revenue period for Shoe Zone. | boonkoh
27/8/2020 21:42 | boonkoh, Kind of agreed - but he did say best day of sales since returning to work!. He also said "Your hard work is paying off" suggesting potentially good sales overall. I was in Gravesend this week and sat outside Shoe Zone for a good hour. Was a lot of people going in and out. Then again, did the same in Aldershot about 3 weeks ago and it was dead. So was the high st to be fair. Was surprised how busy the Gravesend shop was though... | thecroots
26/8/2020 19:54 | Slowly slowly creeping up | the canadian mounted
26/8/2020 17:33 | Chairman posted on twitter two days ago that they're seeing best ever daily sales. So that's something. | boonkoh
25/8/2020 14:37 | If they cannot afford it,newspapers wrapped round their feet will do | the canadian mounted
25/8/2020 13:30 | Time for a rebound indeed! Looks very promising for a steady climb north gla | the canadian mounted
22/8/2020 18:51 | They had no debt before lockdown, i know they have now. High st footfall not great at the minute and when I'm in various towns i look into shoezone to see if they are busy. They have said they have enough cash to ride it out and are also great at negotiating better rent details. The rates holiday until April will also help them out massively and i can see this being extended. Well down on these but don't see much option to hold given the low NMS market size. They opened a new Big box store in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago. | thecroots
21/8/2020 17:31 | Footfall is down to Shoe Zone shops last few weeks, and they have a very poor online shop. Only saving grace is very short avg leases, means they should be able to get some decent rental reductions across the portfolio this year. | boonkoh
21/8/2020 15:31 | If cash profile is better post end of June with shops now open it wouldn't be surprising to see this hit a quid... Maybe??? | owenski
21/8/2020 15:27 | Current M.cap is 25m Shops are now open and trading, I suspect the next figures will be a bad read for the lockdown period, but then not a disaster afterwards. Not inclined to buy this, prefer more risk free resilient businesses, but, it was always a well run business, it should rebound at some point. IMO | owenski
15/8/2020 10:06 | Good post edmundshaw and I agree with you It would also be good to see some standard Director purchases here too. I've a lot invested here and it a little depressing that the share price is falling on so little volume. I guess, as the brokers are running flat books on this, it will rise quickly on low volume too I guess | thecroots
13/8/2020 10:04 | Deputy Chairman transferred all his shares into his SIPP pension. This will generate a capital loss (I guess), and any upside from here is protected from tax. So a mildly bullish move on his part I think - if he thought the shares were going down more you'd think he'd leave them outside the SIPP to get a bigger loss and not waste the SIPP space... | edmundshaw
13/8/2020 10:01 | . (see new thread.) | edmundshaw
13/8/2020 09:41 | I re-bought some here - this is trading too low now. | farrugia
23/7/2020 20:17 | why not buy very cheap stocks in Europe. I mean the CCC company which is the largest footwear company in Europe and in fact already an e-commerce company. Company operates in over 20 markets. URL shop.ccc.eu | gregmar1983
15/7/2020 13:54 | What !!! Online sales last year were £10.6m, which constituted just 6.5% of total sales. They subsequently increased by 15% during H1 this year but that is still less than 10% of total sales. | masurenguy
15/7/2020 13:17 | I expected this to respond more positively to things reopeining, particularly since the online segment is so strong | dmdmdmdm1
23/6/2020 07:24 | Doesn't make for good reading. Offers to generate cash have trashed margins, this is a business in survival mode with end market difficulties likely to continue for some years yet. Forget divis also. Avoid. | owenski |
