Anyone buying tomorrow morning (assuming we don't get THE announcement). Even though I said I had enough, I am toying with the idea of another purchase....

the longer it goes on the more i suspect a takeover may be in the offering. HZD got taken over at a 108% premium last week so a similar mark up would see STX at c275p per share. That would value the company at c£300m. Doesn't seem unreasonable IMHO.
Hopefully we will know in the next 2 weeks

350 I would be happy with that but thinking it might go for a bit more 4/500

I was thinking £3 but happy to settle for £3.50😆

I actually think the price action today suggests we will get something early next week. Yes I know the volume wasn't that high but if it's only a few people who are in the know then they can't go mad because it would be too obvious!

Lets get back to STX folks. Hopefully an RNS next week of a takeover around £3.50? Here's hoping.

There may be a Q3 TU but be wary. The royalty payment from Seed will make up close to a third of the turnover in the second half as it is likely to be around £750k. If that comes in in Q4 which is most likely IMHO then Q3 may not look that good but the full year will be fine.

Good points but the turnover is now increasing rapidly and will continue to do so. The products are excellent and multiple big (and small) companies have bought into them. I know what is about to happen and as all good investors do, I have bought in ahead of the dramatic rise. I don't care if it's next year or the year after because ultimately the price will be many multiples of where we are now. All IMHO and no investment advice intended.

Clearly if you are not convinced by what I say then this not the investment for you which is fair enough.

> Nobby. I get it and appreciate your points. The value of all that IP is a function of sales and without any serious revenue thus far it's more of a vague bet IMO than other lifescience/medical IP co's such as DEST, RUA and AGL with proven market demand worth $billions and inflection points all coming in the next 12 months.

If you fully understand the potential of the company, then you would agree with me.

Two points. The first is that the business model with extremely low corporate costs, which won't increase significantly, means that turnover doesn't have to go up very much for the company to become extremely profitable. They should at least break even this year and then will make a healthy profit next year.

Secondly they are really an IP company. The various strains and probiotic molecules they own have a cumulative value which vastly exceeds the current market cap. A similar but vastly inferior bacterial strain to LPLDL was sold for £70 million. Then there is the Slimbiome product and all the sweet fibres which also have high values. All are exclusively owned by OPTI. Oh and there is the 30% holding of SBTX which could also be worth a large amount of money shortly.

You have to do your research properly and then it becomes very clear.

I bought some yesterday but I think I have enough now at 84k. To think that I only had 20 k this time last year when we were waiting for the deal at that point.

Second wave. Less and less IV Fe being delivered.

This is name your price I reckon. It’s taking so long due to number of 0000s being written on the cheque 😂

People leaving this share have got big balls in my view.
The clock is ticking.

> Nobby. Opti's brokers (FC) haven't posted a research report on the company for almost 2 years which shows they too are clueless about trading prospects. At £45m market cap there's a lot of future revenue already factored in to the price. Pretty bizarre investment strategy to have this as one's largest investment.

And therein lies the medium term opportunity. People who want numbers will be buying when progress is obvious. However, if you do your research it is actually obvious now. The Optibiome deal is going to be far larger than H&B and we already have some idea about H&B doing very well. These deals are not one offs; they will be cash cows for OPTI for many years to come. And there will be many similar deals in the near future with China and Hong Kong being a particular focus. I am confident starting from this yeear turnover and ultimately profits will grow rapidly!

Strictly solely from trading and Chart perspective 49/50 area is a good trading opportunity in OPTI but not a company I can worm to.
Notfan of how they communicate and very light on numbers

there is always a possibility that when (if??) an US deal gets announced it will be at 1pm and not 7am to coincide with our US partner.
So although i get disappointed every morning when there is no RNS from STX there is still some hope that a deal could drop later in the day.
Could the US election have any influence?? Guessing not but WTFDIK

So two 10k buys which have probably driven the move today as the MMs knew there was someone looking to buy in volume.

You are correct that for now OPTI share price is not good. However, I have done thorough research (the Guild thread has great information) and I am sure as I can be that in two years time the price will be many multiples of the price now. The business model of intel inside is second to none and although it means a long lag time, a dramatic increase in revenues is only a matter of time. For me it is an absolute no brainer as a long term hold for that reason. Yes I will trade around the edges like I always do but I am certain I will make a large amount of money. I am lucky in that my average price is almost exactly at the current price and there will be many who are well underwater.

All just IMHO and no investment advice intended.

Been in OPTI and got out in the 70s a while back. Concept is good but as far as share price is concerned its a dead duck. Maybe some day it will get to realise its 'potential' but long term AIM stocks are generally dead as I have found to my cost. STX and DNL are a rarity to have obtained an FDA approval. On fundamentals, both worth at least twice their current share price so I am hanging to both + 4D Pharma as its one of the most exciting stocks with the greatest potential in the market. No guarantees, just my own opinion as I am invested in all three. GL!

For the medium term the company I am most interested in is OPTI. They are the best company I have ever seen in my long investing experience and is my biggest holding, even bigger than SNG. It is difficult to tell when the market will give the company a proper valuation which is why I say medium term but in a couple of years time it will be many multiples of today's price IMHO.
