23/11/2018 21:03 | Sound strategy that. | cheekyfella
23/11/2018 20:00 | Was in profit here to the tune of between £5-£6k not so long ago. Could of sold, should have sold, but didn't. When a group of experts in their 'field' get together to build a company then I am expecting their knowledge and contacts to give them an 'edge', especially in the cyber security arena right now. As I have said before, I would not think failure is a word in their vocabulary, so this is as good a place as any right now (in at the beginning) imo. My objective here is to buy more than I want to hold for the longer term, in order to sell 50% of my holding later getting all my invested money back,(target price 9p will achieve this), and then let the remaining 50% run as a "free carry" whilst the share price builds into really good money. | channel pirate
23/11/2018 19:01 | wow that's a great return over 3 months - well done SWG is the only share I'm holding at the moment - rest in cash Results on Dec 11 and by then I'll see where the rest of the world is and make a call as to whether to ride out the storm or cash these in as well. G20, The Trade War, The FED, Brexit, Italy, Greece - there could be some extraordinary black swan events in the coming weeks - which should make for some great bargains to be had when the bloodletting is done. | cheekyfella
23/11/2018 17:10 | Well to be honest cheeky, I didn't send any new money to the broker to buy them, I sold some shares elsewhere that I bought in August this year and have just made a 84.6% profit over the 3 months I held them. Rather than have cash sitting on my account then I thought I would have a few more here. Only another couple of weeks before the Results are released here anyway. Well done to you also with your shorting to build up a nice cash pile. | channel pirate
23/11/2018 15:14 | Had a small "top-up" today (12-47pm)and only just realised it was smack on the BID at 3.30p !! | channel pirate
16/11/2018 16:02 | Ive been in SWG for ages with average buy price of 4.75p - so I'm well down. But, I'm confident - they have made some significant acquisitions but the big test is to see whether they have got the management team to interface and amalgamate all of the companies to establish a powerful cyber security force that can offer a market leading product to the the major companies like - BA, the major financial houses, etc. I thinks its best to sit on this for 5 years and not to expect any near term major rises. | butler4
15/11/2018 21:17 | Agreed, plus there are more acquisitions in the mix so the numbers will be very interesting indeed. | cheekyfella
15/11/2018 18:49 | That will be interesting. To my knowledge they have spent some £52million on Secure Envoy, Geolang, Consultants and Brookcourt to date. At 3.4p per share SWG is valued around £62million. So at a very basic level this implies that management have added about 20% to the value of the company. We shall see in December. There are some significant shareholders sitting in this stock and they won’t be happy 3.4p per share at this point. These results will be very important. | rockstar10
15/11/2018 16:49 | Tuesday 11 December 2018 for results | nw99
12/11/2018 21:03 | When the DOW sneezes the FTSE catches a cold & AIM pneumonia. Worth sitting in cash as much as possible. I'll be buying dips here. Hopefully there won't be too many from the current level. | cheekyfella
12/11/2018 19:36 | So here is the reason for todays "blip" 12-Nov-18: 16:14pm 2,100,000-Sell @3.25p We have to endure some short term pain to get to our long term gain | channel pirate
12/11/2018 07:12 | looks like a well-researched observation jammytass :-) can you share the rationale behind it? | cheekyfella
10/11/2018 17:52 | times are about to change onwards and upwards !!! | jammytass
06/11/2018 14:35 | Thanks for clarifying but I would not worry about a small investor selling 100k lots | nw99
06/11/2018 13:39 | O.K. nm, I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying, so to clarify:- Mr Woodford is NOT selling any Shearwater shares. Mr Woodford has though been selling shares from the funds he manages in order to reconcile the withdrawals from those funds. I was only putting forward my reasoning why, as an illustrative purpose only, after the sale of 3 x 100K Shearwater shares, by whoever, could have been the reason for the dip in the price of Shearwater share price yesterday. | channel pirate
06/11/2018 12:46 | Well he has not so he is not a seller | nw99
06/11/2018 12:28 | Hi nw, I did not say Mr Woodford has a holding here, if you re-read my post I said, quote, " Not saying he has any big holdings here though, but just using his position as an example." | channel pirate
06/11/2018 12:23 | Why did you suggest Woodford is selling he has no holding here . Company will update us in the normal reporting times otherwise nothing to add | nw99
06/11/2018 12:13 | Hi nw / cheeky, I'm the same as yourselves, bought in here looking at the longer term picture. Added a few more this morning (75K+) and have now reached my target holding, so no more buying for a good while. Have a break even figure of just over 4p so quite happy with that at this stage. Will be good to hear an update from the company in due course. | channel pirate
06/11/2018 12:03 | He has no position here | nw99
06/11/2018 11:58 | Could be cp I'm not that bothered about the short term trading picture in SWG. What's going to drive the share price north here is robust and profitable business development over time along with more acquisitions of cash generative cutting edge companies. | cheekyfella
06/11/2018 10:57 | Morning cheekyf, I hear what you are saying, but the 3 x 100K sells here = £10K+, and there may have been some more "small" sells in other companies added to them in order to accumulate enough cash to cover the withdrawals. I read an article in the Sunday newspaper a while ago saying exactly the same. Also seen Mr Woodford has had a lot of "investors" withdrawing their holdings in his underperforming funds, so he has had to sell shares from within to cover the cash required to meet the withdrawals. Not saying he has any big holdings here though, but just using his position as an example. | channel pirate
06/11/2018 10:09 | tbh CP, don't think we are talking about enough cash to be "distressed" sells biggest prob is there is a huge amount of stock out there a chunk of which isn't that tightly held. | cheekyfella
06/11/2018 10:05 | I can't see the 3 x 100K share sells within approximately 1 hour yesterday afternoon (causing the share price to drop back) being a/or pi(s) offloading at this price so soon after the open offer has taken place. My guess is that they are "distressed" sells to cover withdrawals from a larger portfolio/fund that is being managed. I get the feeling the mm's may like to push the share price on a tad now but are hesitant to do so with a seller about - all imo of course. | channel pirate |
