They can. Most audit is done by online interrogation of ledgers these days. I would have thought an interim audit on systems would have been completed before lockdown.

Thank you for your inquiry.
In common with a large number of listed companies, our auditors are experiencing problems with staff numbers and mobility. We have all the information for them to review, but in our FD’s last conversation with them, they have indicated a likely delay of several weeks. We have a discussion pending to pin them down to a date. We will clarify the situation once we have this.
Ou Nomad has informed us that most of their clients are experiencing the same delays, so we are not alone.

Yours sincerely

David Williams

I think so Northwood. That would explain the rapid placing and the Barclays facility. We’ll just have to be patient. Shearwater is often frustrating, but never dull!

My understanding is that a date for release of final results in June has still to be agreed. I just wonder if the company is in the very final stages of an acquisition and wants that dusted before finals.

Interesting snippet jh59. Thanks.Whenever I get annoyed with the share price I reread the RNS of the 24 April re proposed placing and feel mightily reassured.

The road to the sun lit uplands was never going to be a vertical line Husbod!
I share your frustration, but, on the brighter side, I was cheered to see that Shearwater company, Pentest, recently took part in the US Airforce challenge: Hack-A-Sat, capture the flag.Despite being out of their comfort zone in niche areas such as; Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Astrometry, Pentest competing in a global field of 1,278 teams, managed to finish in the top 10% of all those competing.
Well done Pentest!

Cheers jh59. Frustrating though in the short term. Not long till results and a forward statement. Might also indicate whether they are in talks on any acquisitions although more likely they will want to keep any such information close to their chests.

Could be Husbod. If the seller is related to the Secarma shares, we could see them dumping for a considerable time. I see that as an opportunity to add at a price that you won’t see again once Shearwater becomes profitable. This is forecast by analysts to be within 3 years. Also, the same analysts say that share price is 65% undervalued!

It doesn't seem to matter how many buys there are the share price is always red. Seller still around?

Looks like you’re not the only one Northwood. There’s a lot of support at this level. How’s the time to claw back some of your losses Jammy!

Looks like the markets could be heading a fair bit lower - the bounce in recent weeks was ridiculous. Covid cases on the rise in the US. More people continuing to work from home longer should make shearwater an interesting play. We'll see.

I reckon you’ve cornered the market in hot air Jammy! Corero end of year, revenue down, losses widening! Debt growing, CFO jumping ship!Falling share price Not what I’d call booming!
15p by year’s end? Hahaha!Take over target for the big boys? Haha haha!
How big a loss you sitting on Jammy?

Absolutely agree CP, if you were to have a look at network security company Corero’s BB, you would see Jammy predicting it’s imminent demise last August. I guess he must have bought shares around September, and has recently been trying to ramp the share price I guess he’s probably sitting on a hefty loss. ROTFLMAO!

Hi jammy, nice to see you back on this board again.

I used to see your shenanigans as frustrating once upon a time, but now I find you amusing when you try (no achieve) to wind a few posters up.

Obviously you are drawn to Shearwater otherwise you wouldn't waste your time and keep returning to this board.

Serious question for you: what are your likes and dislikes about Shearwater ?, as you wouldn't invest here occasionally, then jump ship with a small profit only to start all over again. You know deep down Shearwater is going to "get better with age" and it will eventually climb without falling right back to lows such as we are at today.

C.P.

I seem to remember you making positive noises not so long ago Jammy. Of course before that you were predicting 1p next week, and bust by the end of the year!
I took the opportunity to average down to below £2, and am prepared to be patient, adding shares on any further dips.
