29/5/2019 07:05 | Looking good, the profits about to roll in, it seems. | montyhedge
23/5/2019 11:51 | All this volatility is good for The Share Centre its all commission. | montyhedge
23/5/2019 07:24 | The new trading online system seems superb. | montyhedge
13/5/2019 09:48 | I have a 45p target without any kind of bid, to me very attractive tuck away. | montyhedge
10/5/2019 11:49 | Its put Share Plc on the radar of the big boys HL and AJ Bell perfect fit. But profits are just starting to come through. | montyhedge
09/5/2019 17:01 | Looks like they were possibly looking at a reverse takeover. Nice to SHRE stay independent. They need to work on their cost base though. They should be more profitable than they are. | topvest
09/5/2019 15:13 | Would have been better if SHRE Bod had turned them down. | eeza
09/5/2019 14:43 | Glad they backed off. Profits starting to come through. | montyhedge
08/5/2019 12:12 | Ex div tomorrow, 0.55p. | montyhedge
04/5/2019 14:05 | I don't want them to be taken over great broker, but if the Oldham family say yes majority shareholder, they will want 60p a share surely, they have done all the hard work and profits to start coming through. So why would shareholders give the company away. | montyhedge
04/5/2019 12:06 | I'm a client of Share-centre. It's an excellent retail broker, cheap and efficient. If an II takeover damages that high level of customer service then II can fuick off. I'll switch to someone else | gersemi
04/5/2019 11:28 | AllianceTrust Savings was purchased for £40m by Interactive Investor. I can't see anymore than 40p being on offer personally, but let's see. Clearly Share have a valuable franchise. | topvest
04/5/2019 07:54 | Valuation expectation are OTT. 28p before the run up to the news began. Applying a 50% bid premium (which is on the high side, average is around 35%) gives 42p. | brownie69
03/5/2019 21:04 | Interesting news and very surprising. Think your valuations are probably a tad on the rich side. I would be reasonably happy with 40-50p. Very good company this, but disappointing profitability for some time now. As with all private stockbrokers, they only really make money on the cash deposits and with interest rates being so low its been a lost decade for them. | topvest
03/5/2019 13:55 | Share Plc is about to start making very good profits coming years, why do you think someone wants to buy them now. | montyhedge
03/5/2019 13:33 | Also with SHRE if you hold a minimum of 500 shares then share trades are £5.25 per trade. A very valuable perk. ZERO chance of anything like that with the greedy ii. | eeza
03/5/2019 13:16 | excellent co. really hope they don't sell out ...but if they do it has to be a VERY VERY good offer, (55p would surely be peanuts!) | geeff
03/5/2019 12:43 | Totally agree, I see II have no % of holdings, which is one good thing. No commission on buying Share Plc if your an Share Plc customer, thats a perk, they go ex div next Thursday. | montyhedge
03/5/2019 12:34 | You only need to look at the increases at ii since they took over TDW. From free (ISA) to £22.50 to £59.99 per qtr. Next year £99.99 Year after £ ........ etc Sincerely hope SHRE stays independent. Vastly superior in every dept to ii. | eeza
03/5/2019 12:22 | I moved from HL to Share, HL fee structure is not good % fee on holdings gouges you. I prefer fixed fee and % on deal. Stay as you are Share. | carinis
03/5/2019 12:11 | They have the money behind them. But I wonder if a bidding war, HL surely a great fit. It would have to be a superb offer to get this off the Oldham family, majority shareholders. 65p I guess. | montyhedge
03/5/2019 12:00 | From the II website, II 'has the backing of private equity firm JC Flowers, is 100% equity funded, with no external debt, and net assets of over £90m'. JC Flowers were also responsible for taking the assets of the Kent Reliance Building Society and forming One Savings Bank making themselves a lot of money. II's model is low-cost online quick and efficient - the Ryanair of online dealing. I think the current charge for telephone dealing is £40. I completely understand why they would want Share and why Share users don't want them. | danny baker
03/5/2019 11:19 | Only two brokers I have used are Share Centre and II. II were OK, but just use Share Centre these days, as customer service is excellent. Very much hope they don't get taken over by II. | gateside
03/5/2019 10:53 | Totally agree, really like Share plc. But if bid happens would surely have to be 55p plus, to let it go. I think the high they ever been is 55p years ago. | montyhedge
03/5/2019 10:36 | As a long standing customer (25+ yrs) i hope and pray that II do not succeed with their approach. Would rather see share plc stay as they are thankyou. | cfro |
