04/2/2015 18:07 | Opened an account today. Easy. Called customer services and got an immediate reply. My question was about secure messages and - related - how they send contract notes. They appear not to offer secure email and send contract notes by open email i.e. not visible just from within account. | desoo
17/12/2014 08:56 | Can see the price slipping back to the mid 20's | gateside
05/8/2014 21:36 | I find Share Centre pretty good - my comparisons are Alliance Trust & IWeb. Their customer service is excellent. And system is very reliable. Dealing costs are good if you need & pay for frequent dealing - one charge across all accounts. And a discount for a very modest shareholding in the parent. One criticism is that if they can't get an electronic quote & speak to dealers, they can be reluctant to get a quote while you're waiting. Overall, I'm v happy with them. 05/8/2014 20:22 | What are they like now. Anybody using them. Want to shift from a broker that takes my custom for granted and gives poor service as a reward. | 21trader
26/5/2014 12:06 | what is the deal here ? | doggyways
09/4/2014 09:49 | Terrible system. Down Again. | 2breakout
07/4/2014 22:21 | P.e in the 50s bit pricey. | montyhedge
07/4/2014 17:02 | Same here If I'd put all my money in Share Centre I'd be a lot better off now. | willsy50
07/4/2014 15:25 | Excellent customer service and a good simple system for the moderately active trader/investor.I also bought shares for the considerable dealing discount and wish I had bought 10x as many as they have gone from c20p to c44p in 5 months.I wonder what is going on;could there be interest from a predator? | geeff
19/3/2014 23:50 | still got my freebies in this one. doesn't usually give best prices when buying / selling as they use preferred retail MM's and carries out deals on Plus whenever possible but, as a business the metrics all seem to be going the right way. Imagine the recent strong run due to retail clients increase in ISA activity after AIM inclusion into ISA's | mattjos
11/3/2014 19:00 | I should have bought more than 500 shares though! | 2breakout
11/3/2014 18:40 | Perhaps I should have said relatively speaking. As 2breakout mentioned their website down today. When I dealt regularly with them they were really good although there were a few minor issues. Sometimes they say when companies become bigger or more successful, customer service is the first thing to suffer. Will watch with interest anyway. | loverat
11/3/2014 18:35 | indeed the share price beginning now to reflect the customer service | gardenboy
11/3/2014 15:30 | Wow - that's a very big move up today. I never invested here because this was thinly traded and never moved. Just shows sometimes if you stick a few bob in shares like this, they can take off all of a sudden. I always liked this company (it has excellent customer service) and this last few years I am sure have been very busy. | loverat
11/3/2014 09:03 | Preliminary results creating some buying pressure today | captainhindsight

06/3/2014 15:10 | Pretty significant rise over the last couple of weeks - can't see any immediate reason. Does anyone know anything?! Garbetklb | garbetklb
13/11/2013 15:54 | Mid-caps outdo blue-chips as consumer confidence revives By John Harrington Sectors sensitive to consumer sentiment saw stronger results in the third quarter, according to analysis by online share dealing service The Share Centre (LON:SHRE). | lucky_punter
18/4/2013 07:19 | Wot a strange announcement, cant they aford the fees? All that can be said is tough titty | dlku
13/4/2011 19:32 | Well, for the first time I had problems with The Share Centre. The day IPM was suspended (to prevent a disorderly market awaiting the results of the Irish Stress Test)a cross came up next to the stock to indicate you could not trade. Fine - no problem. However, when the suspension was lifted (and the share price tanked 50%) the cross was still there and could not trade. Could not sell my small holding and when it bottomed and wanted to trade I had to phone and settle for a poor price. Could not trade online until 9.00am the following day. The odds against making money on here are difficult enough but it would help if they could prevent this again. I only lost a few hundred quid (now recovered on paper) but others may have lost a lot more. | loverat
07/3/2011 21:24 | I'm not some irrational deluded conspiracy theorist looking for hidden or double meanings in everything but it's strange they allegedly blame it on the LSE which is clearly not the case. But problems with the Share Centre's trading platform happen once in a blue moon. regards | rainmaker
07/3/2011 21:13 | Makes me wonder if they have been targetted by cyber criminals such is the rarity of this problem.Too far fetched?Extortion?-E regards | rainmaker |
