07/12/2021 21:13 | One can't be positive about any share all of the time many readers seeing positive posts all of the time even when bad news comes out ----must start to wonder things happen --- not always good --- that's life | buywell3
07/12/2021 21:08 | For how long though ? Markets worldwide are taking the view that the Omicron variant is going to be a good development The thought being that it will put Delta out of business and everyone will develop herd immunity at the same time that acquires it Something that will never ever happen worldwide with vaccine shots Are the markets correct ? By the end of the first week of Jan 2022 we should imo know the answer to that one If it does give us all herd immunity within 6 to 8 weeks then many Pharma companies are going to lose out bigtime imo | buywell3
07/12/2021 16:47 | LT I get that. What i'm waiting to see is a large delayed sell show up as after trolling through the trades that are shown today you get the impression the share should be up rather than down. Massive amount of buying today. | redhill
07/12/2021 16:43 | Red/Law Todays news is not that bad, and they released it after the fact, ie solved the problem but left with a drop in production, so why release it on a Tuesday its usually a friday afternoon news. Unless they just want to clear out the big seller in one go which they could have looking at all the buys and also have good news coming out and didnt want to waste it with a big seller in the background, could be that they could be getting a chunk of VAT refund, | chestnuts
07/12/2021 16:26 | RH Eric had the opportunity to put the whole story in front of us via the RNS. Failing to communicate the story is causing people to believe the worst. I have always considered Eric and SHG to be better at communication and better at managing risks. They have had a much easier company to run in recent years than they have now. NLGM is moving onto new sources and existing production needs to shift. Singida is at the complex build phase. WK needs closer management. I do wonder if they are over-stretched. As I have said before, the RNS itself is hardly disastrous and would not warrant the share price plunge we have seen. However, as reputational damage, the share price plunge is understandable. | lowtrawler
07/12/2021 16:21 | I agree. 35m buys to 21m sells. Should be a decent bounce. If not, worth holding at this price. | 2vdm
07/12/2021 16:00 | Plat Hunter No, i get your point but this is Africa and Shanta are encouraged to buy locally. We don't have the complete story in front of us and it would be good for Eric to do an interview so we can put it in perspective. This was really the last thing the Company needed to happen after a terrible 9 months. | redhill
07/12/2021 15:49 | Where did all these buyers come from Volume off the map | miguel67
07/12/2021 15:45 | If that's what your take away is from that then I don't think there's any point Redhill. | plat hunter
07/12/2021 15:30 | Plat Hunter So by that admission you would have stockpiled 3 times as much useless emulsion and charging units! | redhill
07/12/2021 15:27 | Not sweating on anything. Have held for years and have no reason not to hold until value is achieved. Firstly i never expected them to achieve more than about 60000 oz this year. When they have produced some 42500 oz in the first 3 quarters they would have to mine over 17500oz in the final quarter. Realistic as guidance for next year is 75000oz or 18500oz per Q and not very likely to mine 22000oz + to hit top of guidance. That said a reduction of say another 4000 oz this year is not the end of the world provided that they can kick on next year.. We shall have to wait until the first few weeks of January 2022 to get next years guidance. Does nothing for credibility but whether it could have been avoided is just guesswork. | redhill
07/12/2021 15:26 | Wow massive volumes!Had some of these a year or two ago. What on earth happened here? | r1singson
07/12/2021 15:20 | Taken some SHG to go with my CEY holding. Who knows where PMs are going but risk reward both look good around these levels. | swinsco
07/12/2021 15:19 | kennyp52, the difficulty will be generating consistent performance over the next 2 or 3 years while WK is developed. NLGM needs LoM expansion which involves opening up new seams and sources. They have enough to go at but it's much less straightforward than continuing to dig where you are. Commencing production at a new mine, Singida, is seldom trouble free. | lowtrawler
07/12/2021 15:00 | 7 Dec '21 - 10:03 - 755 of 792 0 2 0 kennyp52 Yet you are still here .Who's the stupid one if you believe what you are saying! Because I am not exposed as a % of total portfolio so can wait for a recovery and it was already down 20% by the time PI's had a chance to react ! It seems you are massively exposed on this one and sweating like a Pee Eye Gee ? Why stay in ... because its not going bust and has huge fundamental value if the board can actually give us a decent error free period it might reach something like a reasonable MCAP. Is that a simple enough answer for you ? As Plat says .. to blame a supplier with $24m in the bank and lose up to 10,000 ounces of gold production by not having risk assessed this eventuality is just pathetic. How many people on here think directors put on their hard hats and pick up a shovel ? How much administration do they think a mine needs ? Exactly - they have masses of time to make sure things like this do not happen or are minimised. | kennyp52
07/12/2021 14:32 | Just think about it redhill, circa 30% guidance miss on production/revenue and 50% increase in costs. What else is there that I've missed to replace that lost value? | plat hunter
07/12/2021 14:27 | Plat Hunter Ok what was it then ? | redhill
07/12/2021 14:25 | I bet you heard wrong | plat hunter
