The reason gold is up over the last 3 days is most likely the people of Hongkong are buying if China does take over with the Police and Army then Usa will most likely drop the peg with Hongkong Dollar to USA Dollar and the Hongkong dollar will fall sharply. Maybe the Chinese will take over Tiawan at the same time they have been itching to do for some yrs.
Also if any of you have money with HSBC you might want to look at this. Their share price says every thing.

If they're showing a higher ask than is real, doesn't sound like a shake.

lowtrawler,

The bid/offer today has been deceptive.

I bought today at 11p when the spread was 11-11.25. So I assume that many of the other trades at 11p could also have been buys.

Gold going back up, less than £100k of shares traded the whole day ( although most sells). The price being walked down. Is this a shake or are we about to break the pennant in a downward direction?

Absolutely right that we should have been informed. Hopefully we shall hear in the next few weeks at the latest.

What happened about this? We are now 14 months down the line since this was first reported and diddly squat . Surely it merited a mention as to the outcome!

29 March 2019
Singida Resources Plc ("Singida") to proceed with a targeted US$20 million ("m") minimum equity offering via an Initial Public Offering ("IPO") on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange ("DSE");
-- The IPO is expected to take 6-12 months to complete

07 August 2019
US$10 million Singida Asset Level Financing
In connection with the planned Initial Public Offering ("IPO") on the Dar es Salaam stock exchange ("DSE") previously announced on 29 March 2019, Singida Resources Plc ("Singida") has entered into a non-binding term sheet with a privately-held, East African, multi-national conglomerate, for an unsecured, non-recourse loan facility of US$10 million ("Facility"). The Facility is conditional on a minimum equity raise of US$15 million at the IPO (Shanta is targeting a minimum equity offering of US$20 million at the IPO).

This must be dead in the water but either way the management should have kept shareholders informed.

I wouldn't be shorting it at present but i am concerned at the large volume sells going through. This could mean one of two things.

1)There may be a forced seller in the market.

2) There is a cash raising and those in the know are selling high expecting to get the shares back cheaper.

Lets hope its 1 and that its nearly finished.

So in summary....you're saying the share price could go up or down from here?....who'd have thunk!.....

Normally higher but it can break down obviously. If it does that is quite bearish and will likely lead to lower prices.

Which way will the pennant break? Up or down!?

The deal say $7.5m of shares with no price but on the day the deal was announced it opened at 11.5p so i take this that 11.5p is agreed on both sides, so until the deal goes through it will hang around this price, basicly its a placing , but what is interesting is about the financing for Singida now alot of people are interested in gold and i wouldnt be surprised if a deal ie a farm in is coming and it could be Barrick after all it looks like all parties get on well..
It would be great if it was announced tomorrow

It is the nature of a pennant that you get lower highs and higher lows.

Surely if the price rises above 11.5p then Barrick are further in profit.
I'd agree about the MM's manipulating the price but there again they always do.

I will put money on the table that certain MM are controlling the price so the Kenya deal will go through at 11.5p and once that as gone through the share price will react accordingly.

There are two things on the chart at present. Positive, its flag formation with 12p being the resistance, negative since April its been making lower highs creating descending triangle, baseline being at just below 11p. Probability of breaking below that baseline is higher unless something i.e news etc shows up.

Another Positive....Gold is refusing go down, also end of last year someone bought big call Options contracts betting gold to go much higher than at present. That tells me something is still not right somewhere in economic worlds despite ppl starting to pretend everything is getting back to normal.....imho

Wow that would be nice but the trouble is in these markets people are popping in & out & taking profits when they can. I don’t blame them one bit but SHG is a year hold for me & hopefully a happy ending 😃
