augustusloop .... Why did share price go up today ? By the way you have no clue about the cash flow of this business . They present a cash flow statement . It is a really useful page in the report where you can identify debt repayments , non cash costs written off , etc. etc. This information is a regulatory requirement in statutory accounts so the less able can decipher what is going on . You should read it and cease making yourself look a plonker mate .

AG is an utter nutcase, from the investors chronicle article on 24th July;

Chief executive Eric Zurrin told us the miner is now planning to be in a net cash position by next year. "Whether it goes to returning capital to shareholders; there's flexibility and there's options," he said. "It just means we're not nearly as risky as we were say two years ago."

So potentially a dividend on the way & that was before gold added another $100 Oz, adding another $8.4m to forecast annual cash flow

augustusloop ... you seem to be making a lot of off the cuff digs at this share . Are you a paid deramper ? Or don't you understand the financial statements ? They are generating cash sufficient to continue without a VAT refund and spending it on getting the next project up and running . Look at the cashflow statement - it is a guide for dummies and will help to understand a lot of the "costs" are non cash and , in my opinion , getting bad news out of the way such as the hedge which will drop out in time . Somebody seems to understand the figures as the penny appears to have dropped now with a significant share price increase today whilst all other gold stocks are static.
