In a letter sent to SerVision Egged has informed SerVision of its intention to deploy, by 31 December 2016, SerVision's mobile DVR units across their entire fleet of 3,920 buses in Israel and 1,700 buses that are owned by associate companies of Egged based in the Netherlands and Poland. SerVision has started working towards signing further purchase orders with Egged however the letter provides no guarantee that any further purchase orders will be forthcoming from Egged or on the terms or timing for any further purchase orders.

Firstgroup uk pilot -
Baring mind the trackk record every single pilot taking on servisions systems has resulted in an order. Firsgroup has an even bigger fllet than egged with 8000 vehicles.

so H1 2015 equal to whole of last years revenues, i suspect not all will have been paid in full but gives an idea of revenue contributions to date.

I just bought 35,000 at 5.2p and it shows up as a 'sell'. This may mean that the other 'sells' this morning are in fact buys. This share price may be due for a significant upgrade

Share issue approved at GM today. Completes the placing previously advised at 5.2p which is still a premium to the share price today.

Results should be out on Monday which could spark a fair bit of interest here.

SerVision valued at US$92mln by Israeli tech experts

AIM-listed SerVision (LON:SEV) has been valued at US$92mln by Noa TV Technologies, a research firm that specialises in analysing Israeli tech companies.

In the 37-page report, Noa founder Effi Shuv, takes a good look at the company’s ‘unique’ mobile video platform and its potential applications.

SerVision has created a ground-breaking system that allows CCTV to be streamed direct and live from moving vehicles.

Its products are already being used by G4S, Brinks, Loomis and the Royal Mail in their respective cash handling operations.

In Israel its devices are installed on buses and it is understood there is to be a trial in the UK with FirstGroup, one of the nation’s largest transport companies.

However, the applications are endless: SerVision video recording and transmission systems could be used by grocery delivery firms to combat shrinkage (a euphemism for stealing), or for security purposes when carrying high value cargoes such as tobacco.

The portability of CCTV systems has been limited, not by a device’s size, but by the ability to transmit over cellular networks using mobile phones.

Digital video streams typically require extensive bandwidth provided by office LANs or home broadband connections.

So, one of the key challenges SerVision was faced with was how to transmit high-quality video over all types of internet protocol (IP) networks.

It has done this by developing advanced video handling technologies.

Without getting too technical, this requires innovative compression techniques that make it possible to transmit very high-quality video recordings over narrow bandwidths.

As a result, video gateways can stream smooth video over cellular network links, so remote users can view live feeds in real-time via their PC, laptop or smart phone.

Noa reckons the video compression is better than anything currently out there, citing recent bench-testing against its nearest competitor HeiTel Digital Video.
Its MVG400 mobile video gateway was about “four times more efficient than the competing solution” Shuv pointed out.

Likewise, its trans-coding technology is unique and best in class, according to the analyst.

Shuv reckons it would cost US$91.7mln to recreate SerVision’s technology. This figure covers the design, architecture, system engineering, programming, debugging and stabilising the product.
Currently, the company is valued at US$6mln.
