15/12/2016 21:15 | That rather assumes both that the lender wants to sell the debt, that Hytera is able to tie up its assets in the debt, and that SEPU won't be able to access alternative funding. I would have thought that if Hytera did acquire the debt it would indicate to the market the value of the assets and so funding could easily be achieved. Much easier to do a dirty on the debt with a private company.Also, not many banks would be happy to sell debt at less than par value in a British firm to a hostile Chinese company. There is such a thing as reputational risk and it is a number one priority for most banks these days. | mad foetus | |
