Ohdearodearohdear where has he gone. I miss him predicting 22p offer. He has been saying all along many times a day for quite a while but seems to have disappeared. No doubt he will have taken out another massive short this afternoon. I really am missing his hot air, seems strange he has disappeared.

garking31 - I didn't comment on that post (3036) on the LSE board but I do think it is nonsense. If Hytera make an offer for Sepura and it goes through then either Sepura shareholders at the point of completion will receive cash (if it is a cash offer, as Hytera have said it is likely to be) or they will receive some sort of paper. If it is cash, then clearly Henderson don't get shares in a Chinese company. If it turns out to be a paper deal, where the paper is shares in a Chinese company, then any shareholder who doesn't want the paper should have plenty of time to get out after the offer is announced and before the deal completes. There is likely to be a fairly lengthy path to completion post-offer where shareholder votes are taken and regulatory approvals are sought. In the unlikely case of a paper offer then arbitrage companies are likely to come in (exploiting any difference between the theoretical purchase price and the actual trading price) and will provide sufficient liquidity for Henderson or anyone else to exit (IMO).

why Hendos offloading(From.LSE BB)In their WordsGenerally, we avoid state-owned corporations and as a result we have a relatively low exposure to Chinese companies, which, in our view, are often hindered by a lack of alignment between foreign minority shareholders and the government. Even when we come across a healthy state-owned company on a reasonable valuation, we worry it may be asked to do 'national service' in an attempt to shore up the economy and protect jobs in uncompetitive industries.there you have it, i reckon the sell of is in relation to their corporate guidence, however i think they have a keen buyer who are taking up the slack, GLA

Generally the share price of the bidding company falls when taking over another company so what's going on with Hytera ?
