19/5/2015 21:51 | .. well Sepl are ambiguous .. all this on the register rubbish ... what is really so difficult about stating the ex divi date ... its not even on their financial diary ... but 9 cents a share sounds good to me especially given the rally in the US dollar today ;) | keith95
19/5/2015 18:28 | we're talking about 2 different dates, so I'm getting confused I think. I meant record date, rather than ex-dividend date. RNS is company announcement, so I assume it's correct. "If approved, the final dividend is to be paid on or shortly after 10 June 2015 to shareholders on the register as of 21 May 2015." I've noticed the yield is mostly misquoted. Nigerians know sepl is the top payer on Nigerian stocK exchange but very much under the radar here I think. | whiskeyinthejar
19/5/2015 18:01 | I thought the ex-dividend date was 21st May ... but some web sites seem to think its the 20th .... | keith95
19/5/2015 08:57 | Yes dividend date is 21st May. Last RNS gives the schedule. New government takes control 29th may I think. Nigeria's main export pipeline has been reopened after recent vandalism. Sepl deal with Wari refinery and new storage is supposed to cut in when pipeline closed but I don't know how far sepl are with these projects. | whiskeyinthejar
18/5/2015 18:05 | Divi this week? | keith95
29/4/2015 18:19 | This from RBC earlier today: Seplat - Q1/15 earnings beat, but focus remains on receivables Seplat Petroleum (SEPL.L, 137p, Outperform, Speculative Risk; 190p Price Target) Seplat has reported Q1/15 numbers and published an IMS; the key points include: Numbers: In Q1/14 Seplat produced ~35,800boe/d (27,935b/d oil and 47MMcfd gas) ahead of our ~32,000boe/d forecast reflecting improved uptime and fewer shut-ins. Reconciliation endured by OMLs 4, 38 and 41 volumes transported through the Trans Forcados System have fallen to 9.7%. The vast bulk (95%) of the company’s oil sales from OMLs 4, 38 and 41 continue to flow through the TFS, as Seplat continues to build a relationship with the Warri refinery. Revenue of $131m was ahead of our expectations due to the higher oil sales, but we also note that average gas prices continue to edge up, to $2.6/Mcf. The company reported a net profit of ~$25m. Cash flow from operations including changes in working capital was -$62m; the NPDC receivable has increased to $499m, from $463m at year-end. Seplat ended the period with net debt of ~$840m. Cash in hand of $191m excludes the $453m paid as a refundable deposit against potential investment in 2014 - the company has initiated legal processes to accelerate the return of this cash. Activities: Commissioning work has been completed for the new 150MMcfd Oben gas plant, gas has been introduced to the system and final pre-startup audits and checks are underway. Following the installation of three 10MMcfd compressors, the Oben associated gas compression project is set for commissioning in Q2/15 to eliminate gas flaring. On the newly acquired OML55 block, which encompasses five producing fields, Seplat expects to focus initial work on optimising and increasing oil production, taking advantage of the significant infrastructure capacity that already exists on the block. | dukedosh
01/4/2015 09:47 | Due a chart rally full stop. Scope for steady growth here, usual risks operating in Nigeria naturally. | riggerbeautz
01/4/2015 09:02 | There was worries about whether power would transfer easily if Jonathan lost. But he's conceded defeat defusing tension, so should get bit of a rally here today? | whiskeyinthejar
13/3/2015 09:05 | some big trades today | mellowman62
11/3/2015 09:37 | Boko haram is being wiped out it seems. It's the main issue in election I think, so should help Jonathan keep the top job. Days numbered for Boko. | whiskeyinthejar
04/3/2015 18:58 | Seplat expects its' gas business to treble in the next two years Http://t.co/zRcDqHUh | dukedosh
22/2/2015 22:34 | Seplat Petroleum - YE14 results due on Tuesday 24th March. | dukedosh
18/2/2015 16:22 | I think it's just such a tightly held share that a small number of big trades can make big moves. But I've sold some too. Trying to trade such a illiquid share probably a mistake but I've made 15% in two weeks, it may retrace and I'll feel happier at long term hold when election is over. I thought this was interesting. Seplat to cut costs and double gas production to compensate for oil price plunge: | whiskeyinthejar
18/2/2015 16:08 | initial target reached. Position trimmed as may well pause or retrace slightly here. | sportbilly1976
18/2/2015 14:25 | Nearly 2m trade-in 3 deals.. Where these purchases? | mellowman62
18/2/2015 13:23 | Moving on up... Any idea what this is based on? | mellowman62
16/2/2015 16:40 | despite the sells, a positive day and a closing UT at the highs. Nice bounce off the trend line achieved, now to 150p and the resistance there before hopefully onwards and upwards :) | sportbilly1976

15/2/2015 07:58 | Cumnor, suggest you do a bit more research on Seplat fundamentals lol | coxsmn
14/2/2015 22:09 | This will see 60P, possibly 30, imo on failure to grab Afr' assets on the cheap. Held up surprisingly well during oil rout because the market expected the grap to succeed but the reckoning will now come it has dismally failed. Did not fall in line with the likes of Smdr, tlw etc but probably will now. Lot of bitter holders from here over on Afr thread. imo dyor | cumnor
14/2/2015 09:10 | Wally27, lol | coxsmn
14/2/2015 08:30 | Email I received recently from board member, and I quote, stated that Afren have "very valuable and great assets" so no doubt about that. The only problem I forsee is for anyone not long in Afren, or worse still short, as very likely to be a RNS before market opens on Monday now Seplat have been booted out and Afren can concentrate on business matters without their shenanigans! | wally27 |
