Appointment of new non-executive Director
Senior plc ("Senior"), an international manufacturer of high technology components and systems, principally for the worldwide aerospace, defence, land vehicle and energy markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Rajiv Sharma as a non-executive Director with effect from 1 January 2019.
Rajiv has been the Group Chief Executive of Coats Group plc ("Coats") since January 2017, having served as an executive Director since March 2015. Coats is a leading industrial thread manufacturer with a business spanning 50 countries, including North America and Europe and with a growing presence in Asia. During his career, Rajiv has held senior roles in various companies including Honeywell, GE and Shell. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, USA.
Senior plc Chairman, Ian King said: "We are very pleased that Rajiv has agreed to join the Board. Rajiv's background and experience in Asian markets will complement and further strengthen the current Board membership and prove invaluable to us in Senior's continued development."
