Didn't think it was possible to work out short positions from L2.

Trading update expected on Monday .... GLA

5th 787, the first with GE engines, takes to the air with 3hr 50 flight at Boeing Field, as test program clocks up 1001.25 hrs. Reports suggest that it went well.

SNR too 'will take off' when 787 orders come rolling in (....er, as if it hasn't already).
You only have to look at 6month graph, to see a steady accent, I couldn't have drawn it better myself, that suggests there are even better times ahead.

Well done mazarin!

I'm chuffed, and I've been adding from 58p!

Can't wait to see how much they have paid off their dwindling debt at next results!

Net debt:
2008: £174.5m
2009: £102.3m
2010: ? (6th August)

Nice to be holding a winner for a change, its taken a lot of patience and belief in the Company to get here from the low days of 27p. Boeing 787 approaches 1000 hrs flight testing.

ay ay ay ay yeeeeeee! Ay Caramba! Blasted through 130. If this is what's happening now are we likely to see further increases come the results? Or is this the anticipation of good results being priced in? Dancing pirhanna, you must be, well, dancing!

Here's a reminder of what we know.

Within the Aerospace Division (59% of Group sales in 2009), production of large
commercial aircraft, the Group's largest market sector, remained healthy with
Boeing and Airbus delivering a combined 230 aircraft in the quarter (Q1 2009:
237 aircraft). Their combined net order in-take was 143 aircraft (160 less 17
cancellations) for the three month period, a marked improvement from the 4
aircraft (50 less 46 cancellations) ordered in the first quarter of 2009.
Demonstrating their confidence in the future, Boeing and Airbus both recently
reiterated their positive outlook and announced planned increases in 2011 build
rates for their respective 777 and A320 aircraft. Importantly for Senior, given
the significant content the Group has on the aircraft, the flight test programme
for Boeing's 787 aircraft is making good progress with Boeing stating that they
expect to begin deliveries to customers, as scheduled, in the fourth quarter of
this year. Elsewhere in the Aerospace Division, markets were broadly as
anticipated. Demand in the business jet market continued to stabilise but build
rates of regional jets at Bombardier and Embraer weakened. Sales to the
military and defence market were strong, with the Group benefiting from
increasing production of Lockheed's C130 transport aircraft and Sikorsky's Black
Hawk helicopter.

Good on ya dancing piranha! Any thoughts on a breakout above 129/130p? In the past wee while it's been reaching these heights before dropping back. Is the interest over the pond enough to push us on further?

bit annoyed i sold half at 117p a little while ago but a profit is a profit. tempted to sell the rest soon around 130p if it stays at these prices - although i have so few genuinely well run companies in my portfolio, I will probably keep them...looks like the directors are being tempted as well with a couple of sales in the last month...
