Business Strategy Update: New Sky Global, Tencent Anime Comics Game and Tencent Car

Sealand Capital Galaxy Limited (LSE: SCGL), announces three new initiatives as it continues to exploit its close relationship with Tencent, China's Internet-based technology and cultural enterprise.

New Sky Global

Sealand announces that it intends (subject to final contract) to acquire a controlling majority stake in New Sky Global, a new digital marketing and advertising business that will have a licensing agreement with Tencent and other top tier's global media and publisher. New Sky Global will use accurate targeting, report analysis and experienced consultation services to offer marketing and advertising campaigns to overseas merchants using the full range of Tencent Advertising Channels and other platforms. The new subsidiary will be able to personalize projects for different merchants signed to their platform, allowing them to create tailor-made campaigns. These services will complement those offered by ePurse, Sealand's wholly owned subsidiary, which already provides a range of services to merchants in Hong Kong, UK and Dubai wishing to target outbound Chinese consumers, travellers and tourists using WeChat Pay, WeChat Official Accounts and WeChat Advertising.

Tencent Anime Comics Game ("TACG")

Tencent will be holding the first ever annual Tencent Animation Comics Game Carnival, targeting the 200 million people in China, who are regular users of products related to anime, comic and video games. This event will be held in at least 13 regions of China between May and September this year and will bring together the largest Chinese gaming, comic and anime community through Tencent, the largest video games publisher in the world by revenue. TACG is a great opportunity for companies to raise brand awareness in China and reach new audiences. Sealand plans to set up a new subsidiary company to manage the TACG Carnival. It will become the exclusive organizer of the events, responsible for all logistics, as well as for selling sponsorships, advertising and developing brand partners. Sealand is already talking to a number of high-profile brands, such as well-known US car manufacturers and global luxury goods providers. As sole operator and promotion partner of TACG's First Annual Carnival, Sealand believes that there is a great opportunity to attract more Chinese customers, as authors are continually adding Chinese elements and designs into TACG products.

Tencent Car

QQ.com, a China's leading online portal that owns by Tencent, has a broad real-time news coverage and a full range of innovative information services, the website provides a rich online life to 698 million of internet users. Tencent Car (auto.qq.com) is a key category under QQ.com, it allows users to search for both new and second-hand cars with a number of different filters such as price, performance and manufacturer, it also provides news and information related to vehicles. Subject to Chinese regulatory approval, Sealand will form a new Joint Venture company, which Sealand will own a significant equity stake, to obtain the license of Tencent Car. As Sealand expands its digital marketing offering, it will do the same with Tencent Car, using its subsidiaries to create more effective marketing campaigns on the platform. It will also seek other possibilities in developing new auto business with Tencent Car.
