All in all the visit was undoubtedly a success, there is much going on and with a high degree of operational conversion there is little doubt that the market for this high margin gas is substantial. The company are targeting the upper end of 8-10 MMscfd by the end of the year and this should be easily attained. Nearly a year on from the Circle acquisition costs are down substantially (headcount down from 150+ to 35) in all areas, margins are up and growth looks increasingly likely. More later.

Good write up from Malcy, it seems his trip was worthwhile and I look forward to see what else he has to say as he ends with, 'more later'.

I stand corrected re TSX takeover % - just checked the % Delek were up to before their offer for Ithaca (listed on TSX and AIM) and it was only 19.7%

HAF - Yes, but useful as it's not his usual trick of recycling an RNS!!

tgg, he's only really feeding back what he was told on the site visits, I think it comes across as being insightful because there's no other way for us to know this. He mentions another drilling campaign in Morocco later this year, perhaps the next set of quarterlies will show whether they can be funded from cashflow.

Unusual for the pieman, a useful write-up; usually just parrots whatever he's been fed.

Perhaps that is their end game. I don't know. Although it doesn't suit their MO. At these levels, we might well get taken out on the cheap if other large shareholders are willing to sell for say double the current price.

Or launch a takeover :)
ps It has nothing to do with the Exchange but rather the country of incorporation and registration.
More detail can be found within the AIM 26 Rule information on the Co website, including "Takeover Code."

That is the TSX percentage that is required. So I suppose MEA have to stop where they are now.

Stifel Nicolaus inform me that the 20% figure applies.

Doesn't that apply to AIM and not the TSX though? Remember SDX is dual listed.

Brasso is correct the offer required threshold is 30% not 20%

Hi tournesol - As a holder, have been since you were a holder and perhaps a bit earlier, I am biased of course. Things certainly seem to be building behind the scenes and the more drilling success they hopefully have the better it should become for us shareholders. Surprised at the silence from the analysts who just visited the Moroccan operations, but no doubt something on their views should be along very soon. Malcy is still a bull, whether you believe him or not, and when his new "bucket list" is released SDX surely had to be on it with AMER which I also hold.

Therefore I think it is certainly worth getting back to speed here. Depends on your degree of patience I suppose. SDX haven't exactly been a great investment recently. This will, with good fortune, change in the not too distant future.

PS. I also hold SIA as you know, so everything I hold in this sector is not performing well at the moment. These laggards can become hot-stocks in a blink though and that is my wish with my holdings ;-) Good luck if you decide to dip a toe back in these cold (currently) waters.

TBH not been following here for some time - not since I sold. Just thought I'd nip in for a quick update. Rather put off by volume of posts.

As someone who's been following events more closely than I, would you recommend me to get back up to speed here? Or are things still in a hiatus period?

Your opinion v welcome as always

30% is the maximum on AIM before a takeover is required.

Not sure if there is a similar rule on the TSX.
