Yep, glad I've only 5% of my PF in here. Very frustrating indeed.

God, you have to be more than patient to be a long term holder here. Companies are like football teams. You have to score when you are on top. We have had a stream of good news here since October or so and the share price has not moved. There will be fallow times and I would not be surprised to see this fall. As I have said on here before I am totally perplexed by the price performance here. Just can’t work it out at all.

The stock market is a wonderfully efficient mechanism for transferring wealth from the impatient to the patient

Probably won't do anything to SDX's share price though.

Malc's response when asked about a tie up "I don't know, but I would be surprised".

Great rumour to start though!!

Shotky, where have you heard that? That's not public domain information if it is true. Probably just abject speculation.

Nice tick-up at the end of the day. Perhaps we will see some strength as the drilling depth increases and the target gets nearer? Just hope that we end up with a positive result or we could be heading back down to the mid/high 40's. We need to get through that 60p barrier!

itsriskythat,

"Next week sees an analyst visit to Morocco and I notice that there is substantial interest from the community, some of whom are only just catching up with the SDX story…"

Saw that on Malcy's blog. I wonder if it will raise the profile of SDX.,,,,and by extension, the share price

"The model at SDX is working well and there is much upside from not only this drilling campaign in Morocco but development and exploration opportunities there and in Egypt. Next week sees an analyst visit to Morocco and I notice that there is substantial interest from the community, some of whom are only just catching up with the SDX story…" from Malcy's blog today.

I do agree with itsriskythat that early stage investors are exiting. My guess is that it goes back further than the IPO to the seedcorn investors some time before flotation. There comes a point where they move on to some other seeds hoping a few will germinate.

I don't think SDX are going to get $8 for their gas from South Disoq. I seem to remember hearing that the more gas you could sell the higher price you could negotiate. SDX aren't going to be selling nearly as much as the Zohr field so they ain't getting $8. Still $4+ would be nice and above market price.

You mean the subscription in Sep 2017 at 43.75p where MEA and Ingalls together took £5.8m, leaving just £1.8m in the placing. Small placing in the scheme of things.

You think PW has misled investors, more likely?

New contract for Zor field gas being sold at $8 which will now be the benchmark in negotiations with the Egyptians for taking S Disouq gas.

New contracts will be at a good price.

I disagree with that. I think there are several reasons why SDX has stalled despite good operational performance:-

- The placing in mid 2017 at 40p.
- PW over stated production figures during 2017.
- Investors (naively) expected South Disouq to come on line sooner.
- SDX is mainly a gas play and PIs are chasing oil at present.

SDX's current problem is shares have risen by 210% since listing on AIM in May 2016, someone's been tempted to take profits.
