Cheers for the link paris. Can't believe the note parrots PW's line about KSR-14 testing at a rate around current sales!!

Soulsauce, this pattern has been going on now for months. It's almost as though SDX is on a City pariahs' list. I believe it goes further than simply being a seller selling, that to me quite simply doesn't cut any more. IMHO.

Should be news on Rabul-2 soon, it's been nearly a couple of months since the discovery. Assume all is well there as the Q3 figures mentioned dev wells at Rabul.

Not much else to look forward to, just the flow test from KSR-15, result from KSR-16, then it's the turn of the year before South Disouq drilling kicks off. Along the way we also need news of the SD production concession terms

Of course there is rhyme and reason. There is a seller who will soon be clear hopefully.

an ii is clearly liquidating their holding. why? can be y/e targets - 14% is a great return if you invested on placing price couple of month ago and sold out now, would definitely help with an end of year bonus for some fat cat

PJ771, I guess the point you're trying to put across is that SDX are providing bullish updates to the market on a regular basis but shortly thereafter, after a slight rise, we are back down again. I find this to be equally as frustrating, as do several chums who also hold reasonably sized positions. No rhyme or reason.

the lack of a clear reason why this is tanking is what worries me.. the oil price is flying, equity markets are rallying and this thing drops 10% in a week.. worrying

Shakey, that is my interpretation also, however I'm going to try and clarify with the analyst later when I'm between meetings.

Griffin, my take on the above is that the appraisal wells are NOT included in the 339 BCF figure.

"Management is looking at a four well programme in 1H 2018. This will encompass two appraisal wells to help bring the SD- 1X discovery on stream and two exploration prospects which could contain combined gross mean prospective resources of 339 BCF of gas. The appraisal wells could also add additional resources to the SD-1X discovery."

It's this bit "The appraisal wells could also add additional resources to the SD-1X discovery."

You wouldn't use the term 'also add' if you were trying to say the appraisal wells were included in the 339 BCF figure.

That's my take at least. That could be a sh*t tonne of gas! 339 alone would be absolutely epic, especially at $4 per mscf. Worth about $1.3 billion at $4 per mscf.

Progressive Equity Research has issued an updated research alert this morning for SDX based on the Q3 results. Most of the operational coverage will be known to holders here, however the financials have been updated to reflect the recent discoveries, which include:Revenue forecast of $78.5m in 2018 and $79.6m in 2019.Operating profit of $42.1m in 2018 and $53.3m in 2019.Net cash of $37.7m in 2018 and $80.2m in 2019.In Morocco, the 3D seismic contract awarded covering 240 sq. km in the Gharb Centre Permit is targeting to identify an additional 20BCF of gas in 2018. (Owing to the high margins made in Morocco, PW stated at the recent proactive investors evening that each BCF of gas is worth between $10m and $12m to SDX). This is in addition to the 7BCF of gas (including KSR14 and 15) in the Sebou Licence. Part of the Egypt comment is set out below:"The company enjoyed success in May with its initial exploration well – SD-1X - which proved to be a significant gas discovery. Management is looking at a four well programme in 1H 2018. This will encompass two appraisal wells to help bring the SD- 1X discovery on stream and two exploration prospects which could contain combined gross mean prospective resources of 339 BCF of gas. The appraisal wells could also add additional resources to the SD-1X discovery. The current 2C resources of 47 BCF of gas and 2.3 mmbbl of condensate is estimated on a "gas down to" basis. The appraisal wells will be towards the flanks of the structure and hence could increase the amount of net pay in several intervals where the gas water contact was not found by the initial well."The wording used above I found interesting. It's unclear to me if the author (Peter Hitchens - Analyst) is indicating the 339BCF of gas relates only to the two exploration wells in Egypt, and therefore the two development wells at SD-1X could increase this figure further, or if the figure quoted relates to the potential for all 4 wells?

This is potentially a second material leg to the onshore Moroccan portfolio. Rumour has it it is only a first step in their plans to consolidate more onshore Morocco so watch this space.

Haider, the spreads over the last few days were unacceptable, reaching 6% at one point. The vast majority of my investments are buy and hold over the medium to long-term (3 to 5 years) unless the management of a company disappoint and I sell early. SDX falls into the buy and hold category for me as its relatively low risk, the share price is undervalued compared to NAV and that gap keeps growing with each discovery and rise in PoO, and the upside exploration in the next 6 months is compelling. There are a few areas I want to see improvement on (reserves and receivables being the main issues for me), however the share price is already substantially overly discounted in my option for those aspects and I'm happy to see what else is discovered in Egypt over the coming months to see what impact this has on reserves, and the year end receivables figure. Separately I sometimes use leveraged (CFD) trading, and SDX is one of those stocks I also have on a long position, its been very easy to make between 20% and 40% on a regular pattern as this rises and dips like clock-work within a range over the last few months, but trading is just something I do on the side for fun, its not something I have the time to focus on regularly and I only do it in stocks I also hold as a long term investment as these are the stocks I have undertaken full due-diligence on.

only reason it's here is because an II has been selling out. They had 975k left a couple weeks ago. Should be done quite soon.

This 'drip down' should've commenced over a month ago? 50p has always been the support. If it is breached then next surely next support level is the last placing price @43.75?
