cash is building up again....

"where will growth come from in the near future"
new products from combination with Alterian products....and cross selling between Alterian and SDL clients...

and the growth in some sectors which SDL defined as exponential (internet use, tablets, mobile, news websites, magazines websites etc etc)

(magazines, on line sales.....if you produce a popular magazine in USA or UK in English.....and a market is created to tablet users on trains in Germany, China or India......then imo you will be interested in the services of cos. like SDL....and Atlerian. And book publishers wanting to sell ebooks in other languages. ebook sales are going almost vertical imo)

Alterian must be contributing ~£30m, so organic growth is just over 5% (even lower on per share basis). With the cash gone, where will growth come from in the near future?

Lancaster large buy on I think the 28th Nov...

the shares he bt. was 34% of the stake he held up to that point....

ie. a large relative increase...as well as being a lot of cash (approx. 3/4M pnds)

I'd have to feel pretty secure about things to get my daughter to buy shares in a PLC where I was the CEO.

I'm taking a medium/long term view...
and I'm hoping that recently it is forming a flag...as part of a new up trend

(the demand for SDL services are increasing imo
as indicated by the word exponential growth for 1 sector in part of the recent news...(people buying via the internet, use of tablets, mobile device advertising.....etc)

I've obtained Investec's note with the 580p valuation from last week.

It notes that the services contract issues are isolated - and they move up to Buy.

...up a lot since dir. bt 750k worth....and still up again today...

there will be some sellers today imo as some quick gain punters take a quick profit...but getting soaked up by buyers

I expect the chart to develop over time...and show us that around 430p was inflexion pt....and new up trend has started...which will have peaks and troughs on the way up, similar to the recent down trend...hopefully

(imo, any good news from SDL or sector over coming days/weeks if under 500p ..and good chance it will help produce upwards pressure)

Nice comment in today's FT:



"SDL rallied 6.7 per cent to 473p amid vague talk of potential bid interest following a profit warning from the software maker earlier in the week.

"We believe valuation support is provided by the high levels of M&A activity in a number of SDL's markets," said N+1 Singer, SDL's house broker."
