15/12/2015 14:24 | Yes outside UK at the moment, switched to a UK VPN feed and now reads LSE:SSE - strange. | enami
15/12/2015 13:57 | there's no NYSE:SSE on my screen which is displaying all charts correctly; are you in the US? | bountyhunter
15/12/2015 12:53 | Time to update the chart I think....NYSE:SSE is nothing to do with this company (it's Seventy Seven Energy). | enami

14/12/2015 17:28 | Wad Collector Yes I dipped my toe in too early, luckily I did not buy much due to waiting on funds clearing. Might buy a few more if £14 holds if not will see what the price is just before dividend.Good luck ? | wipo1
14/12/2015 16:21 | Limit buy set for 1405 ; makes no sense to me this drop. | wad collector
08/12/2015 14:17 | Agree Wipo ; added a shade under 1430. The logic of the share price fall here is lost on me. Are we going to stop using as much electricity , or pay less for it? Or can our money earn more in the bank? | wad collector
08/12/2015 12:40 | I've bought a few, steady earnings and decent yield, hopefully a safe haven in these markets! | wipo1
30/11/2015 13:55 | Few more pence down , 1431 and I shall have some more. | wad collector
18/11/2015 17:24 | Latest government statement about reducing coal power generation does not appear to have impacted on SSE price. SSE generate about a third of the power from coal , but have previously made noises about reducing this . | wad collector
11/11/2015 17:35 | Does anybody know why the current forward price is irrelevant to SSE ? Surely its a good indication of what the actual price will be... Impact of the movement on derivatives (IAS 39) The adverse movement on derivatives under IAS 39 of GBP284.5m shown in the table above and on the face of the Income Statement has arisen primarily from deterioration in the fair value of forward commodity purchase contracts of GBP276.2m which are accounted for under IAS 39. The fair value of such contracts is derived by comparing the contractual delivery price against the prevailing market forward price at the balance sheet date. The position at 30 September 2015, primarily for electricity and gas, was a liability of GBP609.5m compared to a liability on similar contracts at 31 March 2015 of GBP333.3m. The actual value of the contracts will be determined as the relevant commodity is delivered to meet customers' energy needs, which will predominately be within the subsequent 12 months. As a result, SSE believes the movement in fair value of the derivative contracts is not relevant to analysis of underlying performance in the period. | yf23_1
11/11/2015 16:28 | Thanks for that ; though it is a fence sitting opinion! Hard to imagine these won't be £16 again soon. Wait until the winter energy generation problem tightens , at some point HMG will be throwing money at the generating companies to increase infrastructure and not just the much delayed nuclear decisions. | wad collector
11/11/2015 16:17 | Worth a read - | skinny
11/11/2015 16:13 | Bought today at £14.35, like the business, like the yield, like the fact I got in fairly close to the year low. | eastbourne1982
09/11/2015 18:12 | There is a gap at £14.50 'ish ......maybe get there . | redips2
09/11/2015 13:10 | 6% yield again looks attractive ; a few more pence 1460p will add to my holding. The supply margins are raising their head again and it isn't even winter yet. | wad collector
