09/10/2010 23:49 | SST only 10% invested in China itself, but, of course economic upsets in China would ripple out over the far East (and beyond). But in the long term - and that's my interest for this stock - it looks to me a good bet. Its past performance has certainly been excellent: over 1 year +55%, 3 years +79%, 5 years +182% (See Trustnet). It's the middle figure which I find unusual and impressive - keeps its head when all about it are losing theirs. | hoggetwood
08/10/2010 11:00 | As usual I was late - only just bought it For most of this year I have operated in the belief that a minor China crash was on the cards Its still incredibly dangerous out there but but but... what do I know? | chairman2
07/10/2010 13:48 | pretty incredible chart question is is it still worth buying? obviously no traders on here! | chairman2
23/8/2010 17:27 | Yes indeed. They've certainly outperformed JRS and TEM, which, more's the pity, I have more of. [Sorry about the nasty sentence.] | hoggetwood
29/7/2010 16:56 | I wish I'd bought more of these when I got in 2 yrs ago. They're a lot more stable than some. | 1philipio
24/5/2010 19:49 | 58.96% growth in past 12 months. Rensburg Sheppards increased their holding today with a background of assets at a premium to share price + generally a strong rise in corporate earnings since the latter part of 2009 . | clancrackan
14/12/2009 21:39 | 15000 391.98 buy appears as a sell. | clancrackan
17/10/2009 13:48 | Cracking performance continues. Wish I'd bought more. | hoggetwood
19/6/2007 20:59 | Not half Hogget. Beats a lot of those 'potential' rockets which somehow never seem to match expectations stirred up by rumour and ramping and end up in slow descent instead. Slow and steady makes the grade is what my headmaster used to say. | 1philipio
19/6/2007 12:22 | And more... | hoggetwood
23/3/2007 08:53 | Relatively lightly affected by the recent market dip and making quick recovery. May not be an exciting star performer but low volatility appeals to me more and more... | hoggetwood
13/1/2006 00:00 | As it has been level with many of its fellow funds since 2002 but outperformed them since 1998 I am hoping for a period of outperformance. | hazelton
12/1/2006 19:19 | Nice start to the New Year. share price slowly, but surely, on the rise. Like to see it go faster but, at the end of the day, uptrend is better than down. | 1philipio
21/6/2005 21:50 | HP, My previuos post is irrelevent because I just happened to see the header & now realize that you have had the warrants since Sep 01 when they were only 23p. So, a 4-5 multi-bagger - a spectacular return of 35-40%pa. Well done mate ! | mangal
21/6/2005 12:25 | HP, you should really consider buying the warrants rather than the shares because the wrts are likely to track the shares penny for penny till expiry in Jan-2007. so, based on your estimate of 10-12%, you are likely to get double that return on the warrants ie 20-25%. | mangal
21/6/2005 11:37 | SST at 200p... well done if you've bee buying at 170-180 a few months back. Now, the trust looks very well placed to continue and the next targetr is of course 220-230p.. another 10-12%. I think it will probably benefit from genaral market re-orientation ( no pun intended) and the likely floatation of the Yuan within a year. But we said that in 2004... I rate the Fund as a buy/hold. I'll NOW be adding to my SIPP.. target 7-8 years to double from here IMO. | hectorp
21/6/2005 11:35 | Time I looked into the thead again... | hectorp
02/6/2005 12:44 | Ticking up again nicely this month | ben gunn
11/2/2005 21:20 | Yes, also part of my self-select ISA. Somewhat disappointed as I bought Dec '03 at 170 (inc. costs), and still only 190. Not as previous yrs. Still, 11/12% is not to be sneezed at. | davidbh
07/2/2005 19:03 | Holding as part of an self-select ISA. Been on the slow march upwards for several months now. Keeping my fingers crossed. | 1philipio
07/2/2005 09:51 | This now looks an exciting sector. Anyone playing? | ben gunn
04/11/2003 17:45 | H You still in these? | mart
06/12/2001 09:31 | The stock has now hit an important area, 100p mid. The Warrants I bought at 23 are now 35 bid! At one pound the share, the warrants now rise Penny for penny. The last 2 weeks saw the anomaly between shre and warrant prices , reduce as expected. This will continue IF the stock is in favour. I'd see 20% rise for the stock in 2002-3. if so the warrant also rises at least another 13 p minimum. In the warrants case thats about 30%. Hold 20K. | hectorp |
