20/7/2020 23:12 | This train never stops. I know a well respected trader who thinks if this can get past resistance levels at £10 it can go to £13-15 this year. | madfistbt1
20/7/2020 21:41 | Good finish in the US with Tesla up 9.47% and Amazon up 7.93% Should be a Good day tomorrow. | killing_time
20/7/2020 08:13 | can not see what a portfolio has got to do with it as chart shows what is happening and not as good as a crystal ball for telling the future but best we have got ! ( smile ) | arja
15/7/2020 07:38 | Ominous ? This investment trust does not follow chart patterns because it it made up of a portfolio. From what I can see the drop yesterday was due to Tesla, is that correct ? | scrabster1
15/7/2020 07:19 | well played alanrussell for selling. Never a bad idea to take cash out of anything that has risen like this. I am thinking of top slicing some but to me this is an investment trust with a long term view....just didn't expect it would rise like this though | greatpepe
14/7/2020 15:22 | looking ominous now and chart support at 885 and then 860 . alanrussell above seems to be right and nasdaq does not follow the dow in intra day bounces . | arja
14/7/2020 12:53 | scrabster1, Because I assume SMT has a lot of tech holdings and will react to nasdaq to a large extent . sadly the nasdaq futures showing no sign of a recovery at present but much can change after 2.30pm when physical opens | arja
14/7/2020 12:43 | Quite the reverse, tech companies are rallying due to covid. I have ordered more from amazon in the last 3 months than the last 3 years. Must be something else, no ? | scrabster1
14/7/2020 12:41 | Well I've sold half my holding. The way I see it a substantial increase in US C19 deaths is inevitable over the next two to three weeks, this may lead to further restrictions as per California yesterday, the US market could well slide and, if so, the techs that lead it up will probably lead it down. If this starts to come to pass I will sell the rest. May not of course, time will tell. | alanrussell
14/7/2020 10:08 | has made a tenative recovery but need to watch how nasdaq futures performs and it is struggling to recover and could well see another sharp dip later today but hoping not ! | arja
14/7/2020 09:52 | Time to buy? | gemmaqiu12
14/7/2020 09:13 | quite a pullback and seems a good punt at 903 and hoping for a little run to about 920 today assuming US futures continue to bounce ! | arja
13/7/2020 14:52 | Tesla does indeed account for roughly 11% of the SMT fund...more given the rapid appreciation of Tesla stock. Thus combined with the upgrading of Netflix by Goldmans last Friday, this is propelling SMT to new highs. | steeplejack
13/7/2020 14:47 | at the end of April it had 11% | robow |
