First gold pour and bulk processing trial official launch

Scotgold Resources Limited (the "Company") (ASX:SGZ, AIM:SGZ) is pleased to announce that the official launch of our Bulk Processing Trial ("BPT") will take place at the Cononish Mine near Tyndrum, Stirlingshire, on Wednesday 3rd August. The facility will produce Scotland's first gold on a commercial basis; and represents a very significant development for the Company as it seeks to advance Cononish to full production. There will be the opportunity for invited guests to see the plant in operation and the first gold produced.

The Company is also very pleased that Bruce Crawford, the Member of the Scottish Parliament for Stirling, has agreed to formally open the plant. Mr. Crawford has been a strong supporter of the Cononish Gold & Silver Project for a number of years.

Richard Gray, CEO of Scotgold, commented:

"It is extremely satisfying to be able to celebrate this significant milestone with some of our longstanding stakeholders. The achievement of gold production provides tangible evidence of our progress and we appreciate the support of all our stakeholders in getting to this point. wave - bulk processing trial. Basically a low cost way of demonstrating gold can be produced and sold at a premium utilising material previously excavated when the existing addit was driven into the mountainside. The jewellery trade has expressed interest in gold with a Scottish provenance, and it is hoped the exercise will attract interest and funding to expand the operation and to commence mining.
