Good news! New FinnCap note out this morning - "we leave our target price unchanged, which implies a FY 2020 EV/EBITDA of 10.3x but will re-assess once we have reflected on the breakdown of FY 2019 growth at the time of its next results."

60p should soon follow this update IMO Latest acquisitions to make next year even bigger and better Ken Ford, Chairman of SDI, commented: "As previously stated, this has been a good year for SDI, growing the business and delivering on our acquisition strategy, whilst laying the foundation for further growth in the future. "The very positive financial results underline the strength of our business model and reflect the hard work of all our staff over the past year". The final results for the year ended 30 April 2019 are expected to be released on 18 July 2019.

Yep :o)) To clarify, revenues for last year have been upgraded to £17.4m from £17m, PBT to £2.9m from £2.8m, and net debt has fallen to £1.6m from "less than £1.7m". Good to see that initial estimates were calculated prudently - once again under promising and over delivering.

Stanley Prusiner was awarded the Nobel prize in 1997 for his work on prions Prusiner is now tackling another scientific conundrum: He is looking for ways to stop prion diseases, which he believes includes Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, though he says the science of this is not yet settled. For despite all that has been revealed about the strange world of prions, they remain a death sentence to those infected. "We don't have a single therapy," he says. htTps://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/medicine/1997/summary/ 'Stanley Prusiner’s discovery provides important insights that may furnish the basis to understand the biological mechanisms underlying other types of dementia-related diseases, for example Alzheimer’s disease, and establishes a foundation for drug development and new types of medical treatment strategies.' Stanley Prusiner released a clinical paper in May 2019 , it was titled Alzheimer’s Disease is a ‘Double-Prion Disorder,’ Study Shows Self-Propagating Amyloid and Tau Prions found in Post-Mortem Brain Samples, with Highest Levels in Patients Who Died Young. Prusiner the 1997 Nobel prize winner for his work on prions stated: “I believe this shows beyond a shadow of a doubt that amyloid beta and tau are both prions, and that Alzheimer’s disease is a double-prion disorder in which these two rogue proteins together destroy the brain,” Stanley Prusiner, MD, the study’s senior author and director of the UCSF Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases, part of the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences went on: “The fact that prion levels also appear linked to patient longevity should change how we think about the way forward for developing treatments for the disease. We need a sea change in Alzheimer’s disease research, and that is what this paper does. This paper might catalyze a major change in AD research.” In Canada there have been eight cases of iCJD so far this year More than the total number for the last 20 years CWD in deer and elk and moose is a grwoing problem in Canada iCJD is a prion disease acquired from dirty surgical instruments and/or test equipment which has prion protein residue still present from a previous patient. IMO Alzheimer's is rocketing worldwide and will bankrupt all Health Services eventually htTps://www.usagainstalzheimers.org/learn/alzheimers-crisis

SDI get a brief mention here as a stock which could benefit from a Labour government given the likely increased spending on the NHS. The likelihood of a bunch of superannuated old Marxists getting into power is pretty small imho. Nevertheless, given the crazy things the main political parties are doing to themselves and the country I suppose anything's possible....
