buywell "but thus far I have yet to find one better over the last 3 years" Try VRS the only company in the WORLD to have certified Graphene and which has upscaled to commercial levels. May explode.

Remember Ashley James ? He was my mentor ... crossed swords on another website before advfn was born when I was just a big-headed young upstart. I learnt a lot from Ashley and though we argued a lot ... I liked and respected his views ... even when he was wrong , hahaha Ash. Unfortunately he is no longer with us so today I have tried to help those less savvy investors on some other threads ... like Ash helped me ... by asking them to open their minds to looking at quality UK Small Cap Stocks , well managed , and with the right growth strategy in place. ''Dividends are NOT the be all and end all'', I have argued. ''Using company cash to buy more profit making company's is a better way'', I have said. I used a 3 year comparison chart of SDI V their company Barclays Bank, Lloyds Bank, Aviva, BP , and Glaxo Smith Kline were my choices All FTSE 100 stocks ... all paying dividends ... and in a mix of sectors seen as safe ... by some ... not me I would add. It was a NO CONTEST ... and SDI was a winner by knockout in each and every case Here it is in one picture Lovely don't you think

Another good fit and well done SDI BOD One would hope to see the sales of MPB rise to ROW rapidly as the existing network of SDI Distributors is updated on their complementary offerings to existing SDI products they already sell. 60p by Xmas 2019 looks a cert iMO Unless SDI itself gets acquired ... MUST now be on bigger company's radars ... flashing ... revenue rising ... profits rising ... market share rising .... warning warning warning.

Agreed, another excellent value acquisition, and highly earnings-enhancing having been paid for from cash. A £1.59m price for £0.31m of PBIT is pretty cheap, especially with the usual SDI synergies and cross-selling opportunities. I'm particularly liking this client list from their web site: Https://www.mpbflowmeters.com/ "Major clients include Siemens, Rolls-Royce, BAE Systems, Edwards, BP and Shell" and the emphasis on growing sectors like pollution, water treatment etc: "Formed in 1986, MPB Industries supplies process control instrumentation throughout the world and has found successful applications in power generation, gas and oil production, human medical anaesthesia, aviation, pharmaceutical, water treatment, pollution control, scientific analysis, educational and many other areas"

I like SDI very much .... and I also have a liking for another little UK small cap stock Like SDI it has a track record of growing turnover, little debt, has cash , and expects to record another bumper year as it has just stated record orders in the AGM statement. The only difference is this one has been paying dividends for a few years now as the BOD and family members own circa 30% of the shares, currently 3%. I expect SDI to pay dividends in about 3 years from now if it does not get acquired. Likewise I think LPA Group(LPA) could be acquired also at the current cyclic chart low that their share price currently resides. A completely different sector BUT they are involved in good green things that help the common man. Just for the hell of it I have done a 10 year comparison between the two as I like them both And guess what ........................... it's currently a tie

thanks edwards9, I remember reading about AMBU and initially was a bit worried. I might revisit AMBU myself but from my receding memory I think they were the highly rated type of share i normally avoid.

disposable instruments is surely a threat to proreveal and i understand that the disposable market is growing in america. I read about this when SSON came to the market. Terry invested in such a company producing disposable instruments. Luckily SDI do not hold all their eggs in one basket.

You might think that ... buywell does not Prion protein residue/contamination of surgical instruments in the USA and the RoW has a long long way to run yet. In fact IMO it has only just begun The incidence of other animal species acquiring TSE's is growing exponentially Now marine life is being affected also It's a ticking time bomb Humans eat many of those species affected

Not really much selling when you're at near highs...! Also lots of posts on ProReveal but wouldnt put too many eggs in that basket at the risk of disappointment. It's not the equity story here. A kicker if it works, but very much feet being dragged and surely a risk of tech leapfrogging as time passes from something diagnostic (which PR is), to something more remediative.
