04/3/2017 12:40 | I do particularly like that line NW, ''I think the shares could easily become a multibagger''. Last time they said that was with ALT which took off vertically. Don't expect such fireworks on Monday, but adding to their portfolio, together with the positive write up should be good enough for 2p or so with hopefully a lot more to come in the future. :-) | cumbrian2
04/3/2017 07:02 | Main buy tip share watch multi bagger | nw99

03/3/2017 15:15 | Btw, the Feb printed copy states next is 11 March - website says now 4 March, so a few might miss out on any advance buying, thinking that they still have a week left in which to top up. f | fillipe

24/2/2017 09:33 | Many thanks to rivaldo - Garbetklb and Hastings for your thoughts - For my sins I bought into these back in Feb 2014 on Faraday recommendation (lesson learnt - quickly gave Faraday the order of the boot) and now as nearly out of the red trying to determine whether best to take a small loss or hold for further recovery and gain - From your input (you are absolved of all liabilities !!) risk/reward indications are possibly best to hold - | pugugly
24/2/2017 09:13 | Cheers rivaldo and please keep us updated should the SCSW provide a more detailed write.PUG, please feel free to email me infoprivatepunter@gm | hastings
24/2/2017 09:09 | I visited SDI in Cambridge. I liked Mike Creedon who seemed very sensible & grounded and I liked the various staff members I met. Interestingly, several were wearing SDI shirts. The products seemed good - although they are constantly having to sell in order to generate revenue. Proveal is the potential icing on the cake - although persuading the NHS to buy anything new, irrespective of whether they are told to, seems very hard work from listening to people in diverse fields. One thing that I was not at all happy about, and corresponded over, was the discounted placing with new institutions - essentially a slug of my company being sold to someone else on the cheap. Disclosure - long with significant position | garbetklb
24/2/2017 08:50 | Pug, Hastings is in a better position than I am as he's met and talked to them on several occasions. Management can only be judged on their track record, which so far is impeccable, as: - Astek has turned out to be a fantastic acquisition - Astles also looks to be a good acquisition - the core businesses are being revitalised with new products and upgrades - and they've attracted an absolutely wonderful blue chip list of star name investors to an AIM-listed microcap which still only has an £18m m/cap | rivaldo
22/2/2017 16:42 | rivaldo:> Judges have grown very much through the management skills of DC and his offering an exit route for founders of small niche businesses in the area of "must have" instrumentation for statutory quality control - He is very skilled in this area as well as controlling the acquired companies - I know however very little about the management of SDI - Are you in a position to comment ? If so how do you rate them ? | pugugly
22/2/2017 11:40 | Enough time has probably passed to allow posting of SCSW's brief article on SDI in the most recent issue - "more in a future issue": "Scientific Digital Imaging 18.75p Epic code: SDI (Sharewatch) Small but finally beginning to look well formed is Scientific Digital Imaging (SDI; 18.75p), which is a mini Judges lookalike with a ‘buy and build’ strategy in the scientific instrument space. Two recent deals since October ‘15 have added much needed scale. Smaller of the two was Sentek, a manufacturer of electrodes primarily for the measurement of pH and conductivity followed by Astles, which provides an imaging and dosing control system for the canning industry, where after the aluminium cans are pressed to remove any residues, they are cleaned before being sprayed with a protective coating. Other divisions, for instance, scan hospital scalpels when they are sterilised. Small niche with 80%+ of sales exported. Eps forecast is 1.7p with 1.9p next year. More in a future issue. Buy." | rivaldo |
