I suggest the company change its name to ”Valium plc” - what an exceptionally sleepy entity……………;…….how can shareholders accept this to continue…̷0;….?

Time for the BOD to take this private - Scholium has been a complete failure since going public at 100p in 2014. The new Chairman appears to be really good and focussing on shareholder values as opposed to the former Chairman. A 55-65p bid should be successful and welcomed one would assume. Sound risk/reward at 40p.

Been on the market for exactly 8 years. The new chairman is looking forward to an exciting future according to the last rns.
I suppose hope springs eternal but im not holding my breath.
Actually one positive element is the vastly improved cash situation, they had £2m[sorry should be £1m]
as at the interims from a negative at previous year end.

Hi Baner,

Liquidate this company?

It's not the sort of company that can be easily liquidated! Look at the ratio of inventory to sales!

It's precisely the problem that all the value is in very slow-moving inventory.

I'm almost tempted at these levels. But the illiquidity of the inventory is really off-putting.

why is this a public company - at huge expense for shareholders? time for the BOD to reflect their fiduciary duties and look after the best interest of the company and its owners. and that does not include staying a plc.

time for the board to consider the best interest of all shareholders = liquidate the company and pay back 70p+/share in cash.

Just noticed the delayed trade 293876@34.63p!
Looks like a bargain for the buyer and a desperate seller.
Toby Blackwell seems to have about that number of shares maybe it's him?

Mayfair Book Auctions a company owned by Scholium have their first live timed Internet
Auction (start 11/6 to 25/6) selling 70 books and work on paper.Seems very low key
a bit like their share price.
I gather they will have further auctions throughout the year with some rostrom auctions at St Geaorges Street.

Sorry needleboy not a clue really.Still time for a trading statement I suppose.
Did notice that on the Mayfair Phi' website re their Lingfield auction"....auction a success with vast majority of material selling and a great deal greatly exceeding our
Estimates" sounds a promising start.
Also noticed on the Scholium website that they have finally got their share price ticker nearly working . I think they really need a new website myself , maybe later when they are a bit bigger. Here's hoping.

Peter Gyllenhammar is still around with an increased holding to 8.9%.
I wonder what Mr Blackwell needed that money for?
At least the shares from that sale went into safe hands at Rampart capital
being the company that fellow non ex Graham Noble set up with Giles White.

Pleased with the interims and the improved trend is continuing, NAV 73p and building stamp inventories....

Nice little company that already would make in excess of £0.5m EBT if they were not a plc. They either need to buy something BIG or go private. Maybe take out some of the residuals from Stanley Gibbons on the cheap.......? Looks like a safe, albeit boring bet.

(See RNS)
Peter Gyllenhammar had to pay 52.5 for his last lot.I wonder if he is pausing for a while as the share price was not in periodic auction for the first time in months today(just guessing)
I wonder if they managed to sell that Matisse Jazz Art book for £400k at the Frieze show last weekend?
