Silence is golden, and the share price still goes down.

Maybe they can't afford the fee to issue an RNS.
Would the company like to enlighten us?

Anyone know how much the average RNS costs to release?

EDIT: Maybe Sceptre Leisure could answer this question.

Has Ken Turner been in talks to sell his stake in Sceptre Leisure PLC?

Answers on a postcard.

why only 20p in the £
have they no money or are they not happy with your friends work.
if no money is there a knock on effect with sceptre,as there is
"common control" as stated in sceptre`s accounts

Not sure on a date, I beleive Weston Castle still have not paid. They have however made an offer to settle, less than 20p in the £.
Whats the going rate for a CVA these days?

Yes, but how many (like yourself) put £9 in them? Lots, that's how they make money!
How many times have you seen people put £50+ in a machine to win a £25 jackpot?
The possibility of large returns is why people gamble.
However, if one of the options was £4 then you probably wouldn't have even posted.
There is only one winner on a pub quiz machine, the company who supplies the machine!

A new sceptre quiz (swp) machine has been installed in my local Rileys.

Along with two friends we put a total of £9 in Monopoly. We are not that great at these games and play for fun with little expectation of winning.

Often reaching the target score to qualify for the end game can be quite tricky - the player has to answer about 20 questions correctly and only about 3 wrong.

Eventually after about 18 attempts (I did say that we aren't very good) we qualified for the end game.

We then had to 'choose' between the 3 prizes offered.

They were 50p, 5p and 10p.

It costs 50p to play.

Needless to say, these machines do not generate much repeat business.

Surely there wasn't anything underhand regarding the Crown deal?
Or was there?

As for a knock on effect, anything can happen when there is "common control".

As far as I know this is a seperate issue.

Been told of possible criminal charges relating to the Weston Castle non payment.

SceptreLeisurePlc - 103
The whole story would make interesting reading and would be completely substantiated, with fact not gossip.

On to the main point:
Results and share price, as expected. Point to make, debt should be reduced as soon as possible (no pun intended)!!
All IMHO

many thanks for your reply(less than30mins)
having looked at note 31
it states weston castle and sceptre have "common control"
buster and charlie state problem with weston castle
yet your reply suggests sceptre has nothing to do with problem even though there is common control
to complicated for me
unless of course you can explain better
many thanks
regards a possible investor

Hi Sceptre...when is your next AGM ?
hotfinance14

tb17 - 107 & 109

Note 31 to Sceptre's 2011 accounts sets out all related party transactions; Weston Castle shares some common directors (and a registered office) with Sceptre.

Apologies for not replying sooner; I don't spend a great deal of time on BBs. Too many (de)rampers and noise.

My original post in this thread was solely in response to buster and charlie, who had repeatedly suggested that Sceptre was not paying a supplier, and making generally negative comments on the basis of that information. He/she has since clarified that comment, and I consider the matter closed.

Should you require further information on Sceptre's progress, we make regular announcements via RNS and other channels, all of which are available on our website. Failing that, shareholders are welcome to attend our AGM and ask their own questions.

Buster & Charlie

Either you or your friend should contact me direct. I am not currently aware of any suppliers with whom we are in dispute, and airing unsubstantiated gossip on a BB is unhelpful and legally inadvisable.
