Who knows? Maybe their case was dismissed on a technicality? Hopefully, though, if Convatec have broken their contract then they will have to make appropriate reparations in due course.

No lawyer, but if Convatec's case has been dismissed, does that imply that they have broken their contract with Scapa and therefore Scapa are likely to secure damages?

On the back of the recent strong results and with the potential of damages from Convatec, the share price really ought to be heading strongly north, back towards 300p.

Market does not like the unknowns and seems like one possibly negative is gone now. The good thing is that there is still chance for some reward coming from Scapa's complain.

Thanks for the legal update, marmar80 - sounds like Scapa might be on to a winner as Convatec's own case has been dismissed.

Convatec brought it to court so their case is dismissed.Scapa still has their own case against Convatec. Really good news for Scapa lads!

Assuming Scapa is the plaintiff here in bringing the case to court!

That sounds like Scapa’s case against Convatec is being dismissed under its current form, maybe they should move on!

from Citywire Jefferies: discounted Scapa ripe for re-rating Shares in chemicals group Scapa (SCPA) remain overly discounted and there is material scope for a re-rating, says Jefferies. Analyst Kit Lee retained his buy recommendation and target price of 300p on the stock after first-half revenue grew more than 10%, although trading profit was 17% lower year-on-year as expected. Given that shares remain overly discounted on weak sentiment around the healthcare business model, we still see material scope for re-rating as Scapa delivers against its strategic plan, said Lee.
