For me, the divi is of little importance with SCPA - it's large and sharp capital gains I'm interested in here. For current divis I can do much better elsewhere. That said, the divi is more than I can get in the bank, so I may as well park a little here at a multi-year low share price

There are risk's here woodhawk but it's one hell of a potential recovery play.

They haven't cancelled the divi …. recently increased by 20%, in fact , you can still get the divi … goes ex divi later this week.

Market Cap now only circa £250m.

The Medical division alone produced profits of £20m.

This is way oversold.

I have added.

I expect a very sharp rise as the claim against Convatec is resoled.

You haven't lost anything unless you've crystalised your loss, Dave. In any event, you're going to get some losses, everyone does - just try and make sure you gain more than you lose and try and spread your risk. If you're a worrier - perhaps quit investing in illiquid AIM stocks and try the FTSE?

Worry!!cant get used to losing money. This is quite a drop but I am now focusing on the quality of scapa, and a return to a higher share price soon I hope.

If you're buying, why have you been moaning about the low price?

What's your position here, Hopelessdave? Looking to buy, looking to sell or just a whinger?

Nice divi coming soon too.

I suspect that this will be back over 200p soon, then very little resistance to 300p. In fact, there's a huge gap between approx 220p and 300p that ought to be filled. Recovery could be very swift - particularly so if legal action is favourable...

Got a small buy order in, interesting to see if I get my price ;-)

Normally I'd be wary of 'catching a falling knife'

however

Directors buying
solid report just issued
dividend increased by 20%
new plant opened in India
8% sales growth in Asia
Completed acquisition

Just can't see anything but an eventual recovery in the share price here.

"Do you seriously think scapa will come back from this continuous fall in its share price? If yes, based on what?"

1) Yes 2) Long experience of being a contrarian.

That enough for you HopelessDave?

One day you'll learn that you have to think ahead in this game and not follow the herd.

Also , new plant in India and 8% growth in Asian sales.

Lot's of positives being lost at the moment.

The fact that several directors have purchased recently, and the divi has been hiked by 20%, gives me hope.

This goes ex divi next week.
Those buying in prior also get the divi !

Cheaper is better when you're buying, Hopefuldave. You want expensive when you're selling. Do pay attention!
