market seems to be a little slow catching in on (better late than never)- now on the 26w breakout list

6 month interim to 30 Sept

Revenue up 8.1% (to 111.6m)
Trading Profit up 13.8% (to 7.4m)
Pre-tax profit up 20.8% (to 5.8m)
Better profit margins improve to 6.6% (previously 6.3%)
Adjusted earnings per share up 20.0% (to 3.0p)
Net cash of 3.9m (previously 2.2m)

No interim dividend (same as last year) but looking good for the future

AGM Statement

Scapa Group PLC a global supplier of bonding systems and solutions ("Scapa") is today issuing the following statement in respect of the first quarter of fiscal year 2014 ahead of its Annual General Meeting to be held at 10:30am today.

The trading performance for the first quarter is in line with expectations. We continue to improve the quality of our business portfolio while continuing to pursue opportunities for improved efficiency and cost reduction. The Board remains confident about the Group's outlook.

According to Redmayne Bentley's current edition of Share Spotlight hxxp://www.shareworld.co.uk/index.php/share-spotlight/june-06-2013/ Scapa is a BUY and they cite analysts at N+1 Singer liking the recent figures and headed their research note 'Strong Performance; More to Come, whilst Arden, Numis & WH Ireland are all positive with add, buy & buy recommendations respwectively.
Numis upped target from 90p to 95p. IC also has the stock as a buy.

Selling a subsidiary for $250,000 that has net assets of $2,800,000 looks naive, to say the least, but these assets are being depleted, I assume, at a rapid rate by the cost of resisting the old asbestosis claims.
If this means that SCPA can now close its book on these, then this is a great relief. I think that we should be told more.

This looks like a potentially major acquisition of a successful, fast growing Co. Depends on terms of course and not sure about the joint venture aspect of it...

Nice results today imo.

2.5p eps in H1 means more than half the years forecast eps under the belt so on course to beat by some way imo.
