Hi P7 - your 10425 about Prof. Lindy being 'Part Time' . .

1. I doubt there is much 'Part Time' about the effort Prof. Lindy puts in ?

2. Look - if it's working, scientifically, don't fix it. Prof. Lindy has ascended new mountains (of science) working this way, so maybe that's OK ?

3. Prof. Lindy's work at the University brings Scancell other benefits - Glycans ?
''Antibodies to tumour-associated glycans have potential as a new class of cancer immunotherapy - Complementary to Company's other platforms, ImmunoBody® and Moditope®''

With respect I think your criticism of the BoD generally, has so far been exposed to be somewhat harsh in view of what is being achieved.

Monetization and Commercialisation is to come. Hopefully.

You remind me a little of 'Fawlty Towers' - the episode where Basil is up the ladder trying to fix the Moose on the wall. He has to come down the ladder for an impatient Panama 7 (Sybil) who is ringing to check if he's done it ?

I share your impatience, but rocking the BoD boat ain't the answer. ATB

Loz, nothing at all, but since there's no point in trying to reason with someone like that simply ignore them.
If the poster in question had been making salient comments and showing an above average record of having predictions come right, my suggestion to ignore would be rather daft.
However, given the history, why would anyone here try and convert the views that have been (amazingly and consistently) incorrect for nearly 7 years?
That's my take on it... and no, the weight of evidence has been shown in favour of my view above for at least six years, so why would I even consider saying more?
Since most here are of a similar view.........
I'll say no more.

probably because the writer has no understanding of the Hedging requirement for the CFD.
It's a simple schoolboy misunderstanding.
Not a problem for here, though. There's many here that would assist a novice if asked, rather than lecture someone who's already a holder.

A: CFD trading is very similar to shares trading except that when you trade a contract for difference you don't own the underlying share. Unlike investing in stocks, when you trade CFDs, you are not buying or trading the underlying asset.

and.... yet another pearl of wisdom that is TOTALLY INCORRECT ;-

" CFD don't show up at all !! its a "" contract for difference """ not a contract to buy a share on your behalf ".

Wrong again.... thats exactly what it is.. you could not be more wrong if you tried, and as per the previous post, both buys and sells DO show up, because anything not " netted " goes to market via the platform provider.

The Arm Holding model used Chip Design ...

the software was written by the holder of the license but they could use the development tools from the designer

BioNtech could license the Chip the "epitope" (TCR CODE) but use its platform ie the Viral Vector
to carry the chip ..to target while at the same time using Scancell Skill to identify and characterise the TCR

The whole point of that model is that you continue to refine the chip while others bring it to market ..

which is exactly what Scancell has indicated .. Partnerships and collaborations

the License with CRUk also gives this indication even if Scancell took it back, Scancell itself has indicated it will not at this stage run a phase 3 to bring any product to end user commercial point ..

which means it can still market Immunobody as a License program as a whole or individual vaccines

what part of Upfront payments and Royalties .. exactly the same as Arm Holdings don't you like . ?

The issue with not putting the science at the forefront of any debate is it does not actually represent Scancell which does !!

anyway .. I am 100% behind the science for the simple reason that every potential failure point has been looked at with the Moditope program, with a work around to overcome those potential problems

1/ ability to clear Mets
2/ fine tune the response to pro-inflammatory which widens the potential efficacy base of a particular target cancer

the reason why many fall foul .. is they spend way to much concentrating on understanding the share price ...

rather than understanding Scancell ..

because if you understand Scancell .. the share price would rise. you would then all stop moaning about the share price and would all be declaring your profits .. like you do ..!!

And now our caped crusader is pretending to be a CFD expert.... Which HE MOST CERTAINLY IS NOT.

I quote ;- " it's a derivative its NOT a share

lets assume it is a share and you buy 500 million on your CFD contract

hang on that is more than the entire issued share base ".

For those interested in the FACTS about CFD's ;-

First of all, there is an " OPTION " to use leverage on most CFD platforms, NOT a requirement. This leverage is determined by the liquidity of the underlying asset.

Secondly, there are no tax implications whether that be STD or CGT, so for some people its this benefit that makes trading via a CFD attractive, not the access to leverage.

Thirdly, as all CFD's from any reputable house are hedged via direct exposure to the underlying share, they will regularly show up as buys or sells on the market... ( the only time this doesn't happen is when long positions = short positions, in which case, they are netted by the platform )

Fourthly, trading via a CFD is the easiest way for a private individual to gain access to " shorting ", as the platform provider will have access to stock loan facilities, so can therefore borrow the corresponding shares, and sell in the market ( once again, a hedge that will show up as a sale ) to effect the short.

Finally, bearing in mind all of the above, it is IMPOSSIBLE to trade sizes outside of the market norm, so your statement about 500 million is totally WRONG.
A CFD is a derivative that is covered / hedged, by the underlying, so the same restrictions are applied, when trading.

Get your facts right....

I guess we can't (and shouldn't) control how others interpret things even if their view is different than our own or if we feel it is utterly wrong (in which case we can constructively put an opposing point of view.

e.g. Some see Lindy's decision not to go full time with SCLP as meaning that she doesn't care about commercialisation, but others may interpret the fact that she was a co-founder of SCLP as meaning that she very much wants to commercialise her discoveries in order to cure cancer (her stated objective) but also wants to continue her research in order to further increase the chances of curing all cancer (hence part-time with SCLP).

I'm not sure what difference it makes whether BB folks choose to interpret news rationally, over negatively or over positively...apart from annoying those that disagree with their position ;-)

Yes, I get where you're coming from... BUT you're looking at it realistically. as long as it's understood that it's an interim update from the company, that's fine.... BUT so many would look to hype it all up and then introduce completely unrealistic claims for the company.
It seems to me that at the moment No News (unless we're talking substantial capital injections or licence sales which REQUIRES an RNS) is probably Good News..
BUT that's just the way I see it. I've seen too many "holding" announcements unreastically hyped into targets that thae market will never hit.

After the recent flow of downbeat news (Grand Challenge, FDA delays, Interim Results) it would be nice to see a flow of more positive news to demonstrate momentum and to change the general sentiment. Hopefully over the forthcoming weeks / months we will get:-

- Patent news
- News that the FDA queries have been resolved and IND has been granted
- Positive update on CRUK progress / plans for SCIB2 trial
- Positive update on Modi-1 trial

This is unlikely to have a substantial impact on the share price but it will demonstrate that we are moving towards the objective of getting solid data from which commercial deals can be generated.

Tosh, sadly I think we need Data... If the BOD try a "steadying" release why should the market believe it?
We've seen it all before... Left field.... Many multiples.... GC..... Short term.... etc etc etc.
I think it's really a bit of a race between Data and Capital injection....
I'm not convinced that some sort of conjured up RNS or Press release is a particularly good idea UNLESS there really is some cash heading our way.
Perhaps an Easter Bunny??? :-)... see how bad it'sgot? hehe

Having NEVER fallen for the trHYPE driven BUY,BUY,BUY SCAM, and therefore -
Not being one of those sitting on HUGE LOSSES ... I have NO worries here.
Nor will I be changing my thoughts, posting or lifestyle...to suit others.
In fact, any worry { If one wants to call it that }for Mrs LOZAN and myself, is what to wear when we attend the annual 'dinner' evening, to which we are invited to every year here in S W France....by our BANK.

Perhaps the professor has a genuine passion for both teaching and research and her university post is satisfying both,at the same time as giving a secure income that a speculative start up baby bio could not guarantee.I may not understand the science but the need for some security is another matter altogether.Good luck to her cos a little bit of it may come my way one day!

I might further ask those 'calling for everyone to 'understand HIM'..."I know HIM,HE is a good guy" anon anon' - WHY -
Having been 'driven' from the M F F F by the CONduct of inane'n'co...to this forum, WHY, does it appear, you want to impose a 'tolerance' and CHANGE, on those who were already here, towards the EGO maniac, whose behaviour, which sent you to this forum in the first place ???
.
Or, is it the intention to turn this forum into another 'version' of M F F F { for some 'reason' }

This is a post from a fellow shareholder of 6 years that has never posted on any
Board but does read.
" The juicy bit though was his failure to convince LD to go full time.
So there is World beating research and the driver only wants to work part time
and has not invested a single penny herself.
Nonsense, utter complete rubbish, In my mind that tells me she has no interest
in commercialisation and therefore does not give 2 hoots about me getting a return
on my investment or anyone else , it's purely R & D that we are funding "

My own view as expressed previously I am flabbergasted that LD has not
committed to this full time, compare that with people on Dragon's Den who
will re-mortgage their houses and borrow from family and friends to get
their business off the ground. LD has taken no risks whatsoever unlike all
of us.

it would be nice to have your take on what the next move is as far as raising the money needed to progress both the Scib and Modi platforms.
Much as we know that the money is available to " initiate " the trials, its also patently obvious that we will run out of cash very soon, so the " on going costs " need to be met somehow.
Clearly, anything you say will be treated as " your opinion " eg not in any way derived from any other source, but having been heavily involved in the company ( although in a different era ) your thoughts would be welcomed.
