18/5/2018 11:28 | From the Alara news release to the ASX 11th May '18: "The Al Hadeetha Copper Project1 is underpinned by construction of a 1 Mtpa copper concentration plant over an initial 10-year mine life. The Project is set to become the next producer of copper concentrate in the Sultanate of Oman, with several other copper projects2 following closely. This increase in copper activity is reflective of the Sultanate’s economic diversification strategy, combined with higher copper prices supported by increased electrification and growing global supply deficits. 2: Mawarid Mining, Mining Development Oman, Exo Mining, Savannah Resources, Oman Mining Company and others are all engaged in exploration /development of copper projects in Oman, in addition to the five copper exploration licences which Alara has been working on." So we've been referenced by them just a week ago as a project following closely, interesting. Regards, Ed. | edgein
18/5/2018 11:19 | Congrats everyone roll on 10p :) booom | ukgeorge
18/5/2018 11:12 | Just bought some more - why not! Congrats Ged. | broncowarrior
18/5/2018 11:10 | Thanks for the reminder. Off to enjoy this good weather. Have a good weekend. Grandchild No.8 arrived last evening. Little girl. | ged5
18/5/2018 11:05 | Seem to remember that it would take about 3 months to get going once the final nod was given. They would seem to have been given informal approval if we are to believe the newspaper detailing preliminary work starting at Alara, so no doubt the phone calls will have been made by SAV to crank things up.Not forgetting that a third of the LTI is based on mining actually taking place by the end of the year. I want to see them qualify. Funding will be ready and waiting but they will not need to inform the market until all is agreed (much used statement these days).Enjoy the coming weeks. | inbrackets
18/5/2018 10:45 | IB wasn't it mentioned mining could start first half if licence granted in March. If so Septembber could be the start of mining. I also seem to remember funding would be obtained without FS. | ged5
18/5/2018 10:35 | Ged, hi. Not sure DA could get away with halting trading over a three day period in expectation, but the read across for us is good, even without the resource update or financials. We shall finally get see these numbers in the near future one might expect as we follow Alara. As you say, we should expect more. And this of course is before Portugal. Plus the sun shines. | inbrackets
18/5/2018 10:34 | All done and dusted there. | ged5
18/5/2018 10:30 | Come on Bronco, we had that in 694. It's the latest tweet on the website. This rise is on the Alara announcement. | ged5
18/5/2018 10:25 | 13p on the 5yr chart possibly the next target. 9% rise is nothing considering the possible implications of this news. We still await Portugal scoping study. :)) | ged5
18/5/2018 10:23 | Apparently DA presenting at the 121 mining conference this morning, must be a few people trading on their phones! | broncowarrior
18/5/2018 10:12 | Break out!! | broncowarrior
18/5/2018 10:00 | Doesn't matter. Here for the £500M mkt cap! :)) | ged5
18/5/2018 09:54 | The chart here looks very promising, when 7p goes 10p could come quickly :) fingers crossed | ukgeorge
18/5/2018 09:49 | Reasons for Trading halt An anticipated decision by the Public Authority for Mining in Oman on the Company’s application for a mining licence for its Al Hadeetha Copper Project. Expected length of trading halt Until the market opens on Tuesday, 22 May 2018. | ged5
18/5/2018 09:38 | Ged, Interesting post, do you hold Alara Res? Looks like they could be moving swiftly through the PAM to licence as you suggest. You think their halt is due to full licence award? If so it does seem to have taken from just 11th May to 18th. I thought PAM would sit on these a little longer, Oman licence could come here soon too then as you suggest. Also its interesting in comparison, while they've bigger bulk tonnage to us their grades are considerably lower. They also refer to LOI's for funding, so someone is keen on funding Omani copper development. With our largest shareholder in SAV being a former minister etc we've the right contacts to take this forward quickly. Would be great to see first production this year or early next. Regards, Ed. | edgein
18/5/2018 09:25 | Well timed buys George. It looks like Alara are expecting their licence by Tuesday. When will ours be? David Archer speaking in London. Enjoy the sunshine! | ged5
17/5/2018 16:20 | Smashing it George. | broncowarrior
17/5/2018 12:19 | I just added another 75k @ 6.68 | ukgeorge
16/5/2018 15:41 | On the other thread, confirmed that Oman doesn't need the full number of feasibility studies. Means funding and licence pretty much all we need, then mine build. This year still possible. | broncowarrior
16/5/2018 13:58 | Reba, Are you kidding, this is gonna be the biggest year in SAV's history. ML for Oman, Scoping study for Portugal with more drilling results too and further JORC upgrades then DFS for the world class multi $bn Moz asset. Board is often quiet which is more likely a good thing than a bad thing but don't assume the LTH's are gonna sell out. It'll be mid cap before I sell any here. And then may just hold for divi's from Oman and Portugal, that is if they don't get taken out by one of the global lith producers in the mean time. Regards, Ed. | edgein
16/5/2018 09:44 | Well done UKGeorge. I thought everyone had abandoned ship. No change in the bid after all the activity with the big trades. | reba |
