24/4/2018 13:36 | Like you Ged i am starting to lose patience with what is happening here and hence sold a few this morning and put it in HZM. Seem to be getting little feedback with what is happening with Moz and Oman in particular which by all accounts should have been in production six months ago. I appreciate that a lot of the hold ups are out of management hands but it would be nice to be given updates on what is going on instead of nothing! I have been here since 2013 and the one project I was looking forward to is Oman and copper which I cannot see being in prodution till at least summer 2019. Still hold a good few but we need revenue to avoid dilution and some feedback (see ARS for PR with it's shareholders). GL LTH | yorkie14
23/4/2018 14:28 | I thought the plant was being built to produce the bulk sample, but now they seem to be saying the plant will be put on care and maintenance while the bulk sample is produced? Don't understand that. I might be being unfair but seems to be the main eye is on the Portugal ball and not Oman and Moz so much at the moment. If that is the quickest way to derive value then fair enough. | broncowarrior
23/4/2018 10:55 | Ed, I love your positivity. I hope your right. We've had so many promises and false deadlines. I just think it's about time we had some concrete news. I'm sure that it's no coincidence that when their salaries are at stake the deadlines are put further into the future. Anyway enough cynicism for now. Oman mining licence, strategic partnership and amended mining licence in Portugal and PFS stage 1 completion for Mutamba. | ged5
23/4/2018 10:44 | Yes it is always nice to buy under the placing price, just added 29k @5.3p The PEA should be out in the next month or two. Fingers crossed should give the share price a healthy bounce. Cheers George | ukgeorge
23/4/2018 10:07 | Ged, I think George has timed it very well actually as he's in just before the Portugal JORC upgrade (need to add in all holes drilled in 2018 including Grandao extended). And the PEA for portugal also estimated next month too. He's in around the same price as the recent placees. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/4/2018 09:52 | I think an update from Mutamba was overdue so in that respect it was good to get an announcement. From the 23-8-18 announcement concerning the PFS stage 1 David Archer stated:- "It is anticipated that this work will be finished in coming months." Eight months on and it's still not completed! From 20-11-18 announcement:- "Upon completion of commissioning, the plant will provide concentrate bulk samples for analysis and the preparation of final products for test marketing. The completion of the plant is another key milestone for the Mutamba Consortium as we move the Project towards a development decision. The pilot plant will allow us to process samples and conduct tests on the extraction of minerals from the deposits. While things are still at a very early stage, a pilot plant is an important part of any project study and we look forward to the work ahead." I don't remember any planned care and maintenance being mentioned. From 16-1-18 announcement:- "The Ministry has six months from the date of submission to respond to the Applications" Today we are told of a 3 month delay! Come on Mr Archer you now have a LTIP. Stop over promising and under delivering. Welcome UKGeorge! Surprised you joined us before any meaningful mining lease has been granted. Let's hope it's not as long a wait as NRRP! | ged5
23/4/2018 08:25 | Bronco, Not going to set the share price on fire yet, but overall positive. They're moving swiftly towards scoping study and PFS and have applied for the ML for the Moz assets. So that's all moving ahead quite quickly, could hear from the government over there in the next 6 months. They're already planning for full DFS. We've an idea already that there will be some impressive numbers from the PFS, not just from what the company has released historically but also what is currently on their website. Its massive its high grade and Rio Tinto is still working with the company it seems to bring this one towards development. This is world class in scale and with RT's backing funding shouldn't be a massive hurdle as the scoping study numbers are likely to be very large. Gonna be an interesting year for SAV if all goes to plan, due to hear on Portugal soon, now Moz later in the year, probably Q4 when we're due to go into production in Oman. Could be a game changer if all these come in this year. Regards, Ed. | edgein
23/4/2018 08:03 | Don't know what to make of this, good, bad or indifferent? | broncowarrior
20/4/2018 10:29 | I've just joined the Savannah club 36.5k @ 5.4p Positive to see that employees took shares at 5.5p in the last raise. Roll on a positive scoping study | ukgeorge
19/4/2018 08:37 | Bronco, Well according to the latest interview its the calm before the storm. Both Scoping study and possible reserve upgrade coming in Portugal in May. DA clearly expecting some action. With the biggest spodumene discovery in Europe about to get potentially bigger since they added another 300m of high grade strike to Grandao I can see where he's coming from. I wonder will the scoping study show numbers higher than our £34m cap. We'll just ignore the billions of tns of HMS in Moz for now with Rio T. Perhaps even an update from Oman may sneak in soon unless the housing ministry is about to announce a new town in the middle of the desert. :) Strange that the housing ministry is the last of the departments, you would think that would be pretty straight forward part of the pre-mining licence process. Ged, Yes sounds as if they're keeping the pace up here even if the stock market currently isn't. Next month should be interesting with the updates. The elusive 3rd rig gonna provide some more numbers in May? :) Regards, Ed. | edgein
18/4/2018 20:40 | Tumbleweed on here. People must be out enjoying the weather! | broncowarrior
17/4/2018 11:39 | Would make a nice AGM present. | paleje
17/4/2018 11:12 | .58 million now in the bank. Looking forward to that last Oman permit as next big news. | broncowarrior
15/4/2018 20:56 | Lowest we have been in a while, people selling the 5.25 tranche? | broncowarrior
13/4/2018 10:44 | You in the UK Ged? Not barbie weather in the midlands unfortunately, maybe next week. | paleje
13/4/2018 10:11 | May or June, it is an AIM explorer/mining company after all. First Bar-b-que of the year last evening. The Rioja complemented the Lamb. Oh how easy it is to sip wine when sat outside in front of the chimenea with family. Hence the lack of comment on the results or incentive plan. | ged5
13/4/2018 08:30 | Chairman's report nothing really we don't know. Reckon there will be a strategic partner announcement soon as cash at less than 2mm.Option awards seem to be against the correct sort of milestones. | broncowarrior
12/4/2018 12:54 | Thanks Ged. Scoping study and resource upgrade in May. Scoping study is when they put some initial valuations around stuff including mine cost and payback. With a renowned firm doing that SS, should move the needle. | broncowarrior
12/4/2018 11:47 | Just one small sell and a transfer to an ISA (probably). Easter holidays coming to an end, maybe the bed and ISA season end will follow! | ged5
12/4/2018 09:46 | I hadn't realised there'd been another interview. Confirmation of that 3rd rig in the coming weeks, Ed. But did you all notice the light bulb is now working? Switched on or replaced? More likely to get an answer to that question than when will the Oman mining licence be granted! Hxxp://www.proactive | ged5
10/4/2018 12:09 | Back from an enjoyable long weekend on the east coast of Scotland and have now had time to look at the announcement with maps. Grandao is looking even more spectacular. Recent drilling should lead to a significant increase to the resource. Do they need more than 20Mt? Will they try to make as big a resource as possible? On first skimming the other 3 areas looked disappointing but even though there were limitations to where they drilled (another question to be asked), some of the grades were comparable to an economic resource. Looking at the big chart above we seem to be at the bottom of a rising channel which started in 2016. My opinion is we could see a sharp change about July. That would coincide with expected news about that time so hopefully the change will be positive. Time will tell! | ged5
06/4/2018 13:37 | Why the big sell?? | nick9013
06/4/2018 07:42 | The issue for me is I bought in months ago for Oman. It was the most advanced project and time lines provided pointed toward production by mid year 2018. Moz was accepted as a slow burn but with potentially huge pay back 2020-25. Portugal has been a great ‘left field’ portfolio addition but we need to see Oman deliver as we move into a good time to be a copper producer. With the Omani’s being the major shareholder, you’d hope they have some influence in push the government to expedite permitting and mining licence with a bit more pace than we’ve seen to date. By my reckoning,we’r Ultimately SAV will be judged on results; bringing assets through the development curve and into production or JV. With Oman, it’s been 100% frustration when it should be our crown jewel asset that can produce serious cash flow/profits. The assets are there , just need Oman to play ball and soon; it was previously a producing mine for goodness sake! | highly geared
06/4/2018 07:10 | IB, just thought we might hear something about what sort of grades they are picking up with the pilot plant but when working with RIO things are done a bit differently. I'm sure they don't even bother RNSing drilling results for example. | broncowarrior
05/4/2018 19:33 | Hi BW, am I missing something? I have seen a number of references to the pilot plant and wonder what sort of news people are expecting from it. It's not economically productive itself per se, but designed for trial runs of product so that they can best X tract from the sands and Rio can gauge what to do with the concentrate. Suppose it's results will feed into the PFS which is what we need to get out of the way.Must say that whilst Portugal is going great guns and has much hope, just out of sheer doggedness, I want to see Oman fruit. | inbrackets |
